Hi All,

RR, I will be thinking about you all at 10:30 your time this AM! Hope everything goes smoothly. I'll say a little prayer for DH tonight too!

Jackie, Glad to hear things are a little better with your mom. I hope she's able to get the fluids in that she needs.
I really needed a change in hair, but I'm always paranoid, because my hair grows pretty slow. I like the way it looks now, but I just need more of a change. I'm gonna call him this AM and see if he can cut more off tonight. I may just stay happy with the highlights for now.

Having a smoothie this AM. It's sooo yummy...OJ, frozen mango, ice cubes and protein powder. I could drink these all day...but I don't have a blender here!!

Have a great day all!!

Good evening all...............................................

Hope everyone is having a good Friday. Not to bad here. I am so glad it's the weekend.

RR: Hope Kaylee's CT scan went well, and hope that DH did okay tonite. We just have one child, and it's hard sometimes for my DH. Thanks for the kind words for my Mom. Sometimes I'm not sure if the report I get from my Dad is exactly word for word, so glad you confirmed what I said. She seems to be excited about me and DS coming to visit her next weekend. Hope you have a good weekend.

Lauren: Sometimes I wished my hair grew slow, but it grows so thick and bushy, that I have to go about every 4 weeks for a trim. I did highlights one time and really loved them.

Karen: How's the room? Hope you are having a good day.

As for the house, we are getting to the end of our money, and we still have things to do, so not sure how it's all going to work out. It sure would be a lot more enjoyable if the money was no problem, especially if money grew on trees.

Hi guys,

Lauren: I had my hair done two weeks ago and it is AWFUL. I have a big ol' fuzz head. I've been using deep conditioners for the past two weeks and they are not helping. After I wash it I have one huge tangle. It hurts so much even to pick it out. I hope yours is better. Did you get the invite yet?

RR: Hope Kaylee's CT was OK and that DH didn't have too bad a time with all the kids.

Jack: Hope your mom is better. Good luck with the house!! Our room is coming together pretty well. The handy man is coming on Monday (YES!! I'm going to have a laundry chute!!) to finish all the work. Then we just have to wait on the furniture.

We took the boy to Chuck E. Cheese tonight. He was so cute on the little rides. He was so tired but he seemed to enjoy it. Ours is the only CEC that does not give tickets for winning the games. The mayor of Edison considers it gambling so you have to buy the prizes!!

Hello to everyone!!

WOW--CT on a 15month old is a disaster!!! OMG--they papoosed her and strapped her in the machine and she went ballistic..Moving her head forward and backward..At 11:30, we gave up and I put her to sleep in a dark room..Tried it, she woke up and screamed, 12:00 got her sleeping again--no go..Finally she drank Chloral Hydrate and 10 minutes later..was snoozing away..The scan was completed and then she didnt want to wake up..I finally pretended that she drank her juice and they let us leave..My mom had to watch her since daycare was no longer an option..She was high as a kite!!!
Giggling and calling "kitty kitty"..I had to laugh..I then ran to work and sortof kind of accidently saw her report that said.........ALL IS NORMAL FOR HER AGE!!!! NO FLUID, NO MASSES, ALL PERFECT!!!except for mucus in her paranasal sinuses but I knew that already!!!I am soo excited!! I have to act excited when we go for our results!!!
I got home after 9pm--all were fed, #2 was asleep and Kaylee was building with Legos while he was watching hockey!! I snuck in, bathed and then sat next to Kaylee and she laughed and squealed!!!
Have a great day...Off to the Easter egg hunts!!

RR< that's awesome news!! Congrats!

Karen, How cool that you're getting a laundry chute! If I ever got a house w/laundry in the basement, I'd definitely want one!! Was it a big thing to do?
YES, got the invite, I forgot to call you, sorry! We'll be there!

We're going to see an open house tomorrow...or at least I am! The house is just a few blocks away from us. Here's a link to the house: http://www.realtor.com/Prop/1034501336?lnksrc=00045 It's a lot more than we want to spend on a house, but in this area, it's actually a good price...how sick is that?! We're hoping FIL will give us a down payment.

I don't think I updated you guys on our situation here. You know that moron that was living upstairs that I always complained about? Well, last Friday, the 26th, they found him dead in his bed! So the cops were here at 7:00 in the AM. Still not sure of the cause of death, but I'm guessing OD or something. The guy was 34. Anyway, the next day, there were some people here. We thought it was his family or something. Now, less than a week later, I think it was Wednesday, 2 new people have moved in!! A woman rents the bedroom above us, and the main bath. Some older guy rents the master br and bath. How sick is that, they couldn't even wait til the 1st of the month!! I was pissed, because I was going to ask them when I brought the rent check down, if we could talk about renting the whole house. Now I'm just pissed, and so is DH. These people are just slum-lords.

So that's where we stand. Hope everyone's having a great weekend!!

Lauren: That is awful about your housing situation. I agree with you on them not waiting until the 1st. It sounds like a strange set-up too. I hope you guys can find a house that you like. Buy the way, the house you are going to look at is very nice. I love the inside, especially the windows and the trim around them. Are houses really that much up there? I could not imagine paying that much for a house, but understand a lot has to do with the area you live in. Good luck and keep us posted.

Karen: Somehow I missed the part about the laundry chute until Lauren mentioned it and then I went back and re-read your post. Do you think you will have any problems with Alex throwing his toys down the chute? I was thinking if it were my DS, he would definately try that!

Okay you guys here is my excitement for the year!!!!!! I am in the garage doing laundry, (this is one reason I can't wait for our new house to get done because my laundry room will be inside the house) and DS is at the door and yells "MOM their's a mouse in the garage! Needless to say I dropped everything and ran inside the house. He says he was a little bigger than "Chester", (the deceased hamster we used to have) brown with black eyes and a long tail. I am so freaked out by that and don't know if I will ever be able to go back out in the garage to do laundry. (wishful thinking because who would do the laundry besides me  ) DH is sitting outside in the jeep to see if he comes out. I sure hope he comes out of the garage. Wish I had a trap right now, because I have plenty of cheese. I will let you all know what happens.

JackBlack 04-03-2004 11:28 PM

DH is back in the house and did not see a thing. I think I am going to get some mice/rat traps tomorrow. I hate to kill something, but I have to do something so I know we got him and it's safe to go in the garage. We just remembered that we picked up our toilets and sinks from Home Depot and put the boxes inside the garage. The boxes have little gaps in the side to pick them up so we are thinking that's how he got here maybe. We have lived here 12 years and never seen a rat or mouse.
