190s Anyone??
I am hoping to get a group of individuals who are trying to get out of the 190s then we can join the 180s group and downward:carrot:
Currently 195.....no excuse really, just ate poorly most of last year. Now a new year and a new start. Mine began Jan 1st and I will continue until until I reach 125/130ish....;) |
Count me in!!! 195 too! :) Trying to get to 136 (realistic goal weight)
|
Me too 198 This morning... i spent most of last year trying to get out of the 180's anyways.. onwards and upwards or downwards as the case may be.. :)
my goal is around 145.. |
Welcome both! Bach, I want similar goals too! Curly, I did the exact same thing, made it to the 180s was up and down then said the heck to it cause of holidays and now Jan 1st, back again...LOL But it's a new year and we just work hard to see results!

|
I'm in! I'm 193 and I promise my scale is broke because it won't move! Oh what I would give to see a 180 anything! I had initially said my goal weight is 150 but looking at everybody else's I'm thinking I should go lower?
|
Nomorejellybeans i added you also , i'm not to sure what the buddy list does lol
Niki4184 i am the same I just lost all motivation over christmas and ate and drank and the whole mindset i have prior just went out the window,, this week has been very hard but i think my mindset is slowly changing, so hopefully next week motivation will return.. day by day eh?? ;) Ross111104 Hang in there . you will prob get a big loss when it FINALLY does move.. 180 will come :) i am the same i though around 154 but "when" i get there i might re evaluate depending on how i look etc.. |
Do you guys mind if I join in here? I am at 203 and will hopefully be in the 190s by next week. This is my highest weight ever, w/ the exception of pregnancy. I was 185 back in March. Got to get this weight off for good! 165 is my goal as of now.
|
Hello! I'm trying to figure out the forum (i've never done this before) Is this thread a smaller support group? I am starting at 204 and will hopefully drop the first 5 very quickly! My ultimate goal is 165.
|
Mind if I join too? I'm currently 185, but I don't see a specific 180s thread.
And you ladies sound energetic and motivated! Would love to check with y'all. |
I'm 194 soo I definitely in ready to leave the 190's behind goal weight is 165 :)
|
Welcome to all the newbies! I think we all have the same mindset....GET OUT OF THE 190s!!! LOL
So we can find support here. I figured we could all update whenever we wanted to. I don't necessarily weigh daily (for it would drive me crazy and effect my daily eating...smh) Good luck to us all! My birthday is mid next month and I hope to get at least 10 or 15 of these pounds off by then:-) |
Welcome Welcome all :)
Yip i recon we are all in the same boat, January i find is always a great month for fresh starts and we are all in the same boat whether to leave the 190's or get back to where we were/wanna be .. We can do it... i was 196Lb this morning ... So up from y'day ... think it was water :) |
Yeah, probably just water ;)
|
I am in this group. I am down to about 194 from 200. I am 64 inches.
I looked at my log from end of summer and I was in the 180's. how does the gain happen so fast? |
Well no big drop for me but last time I got on the scale I was 192. 1 lb. is better than nothing I figure. Lets keep it going ladies! Pretty soon we will have to label this thread "180's!!!

Trying to figure out my calories - Help!
So, i'm trying to eat the right amount of calorie to coordinate with my activity level.
I was mentally beating myself up over my calorie intake today, when I realized that this wasn't an over eating day or a binge session. I purposefully added in another snack and upped my dinner portion because I was trying to get to the proper calorie intake for my activity level. Today, I ate 2045 and I was SO FULL. Luckily, I had enough energy for my swim tonight. I normally eat around 1600 when I'm not exercising. I don't think I can keep eating this much, but I don't want to drop too low in calories that I don't lose any weight. I checked out a BMI calculator and this is what it said: CW: 185 GW: 145 Height: 5'7" Sedentary = 1726 calories Lightly Active (1-3 days/week) = 1977 Mod Active (3-5 days/week) = 2229 Highly Active (6-7 days/week) = 2481 I was losing weight just fine when I was counting and not working out. Now that I'm adding in activity, I'm a little confused. Does anyone have suggestions/advice on this? |
Wishing all of you good luck in January!
|
I'm with you on the daily weigh ins anewbody2013 - I tried that one time, and it drove me crazy! I weigh myself about once a month now.
I've been on track so far - a few adjustments I need to make with my diet. I'll post later, just wanted to check in. |
Oh these blasted 190's. I weighed in one day bi was 190. Then the next time I weighed in I was 191!!! Grrr. I just want the 180's to come and stick. That's when I will feel like I am making progress. I went on my fitness pal and looked at the my weights I entered for the past year and they were all between 190 and 200. I just float within that weight back and forward. So I just feel like when I get into the 180's that is going to show that what I am doing is paying off. I am trying not to get frustrated and hopeless. Just a rant. :)
|
Back in the 190s after being in the 200s (in which I regained weight that I lost). Starting to workout today and hope to be in the 180s (at least by summer).
|
Good luck to you!
|
Count me in, too! I'm at 195, which is the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I looked at some pictures from 5 years ago when I was at 150 - I remember not thinking I looked thin enough but dang I would give anything to be back there!:)

Hope everyone had a good weekend!
So, I think I mentioned before how I wore myself out the first week in January, and decided to get back on track. Well, I slept a good amount this weekend and planned all my meals and snacks for the week - they're in the fridge waiting to go into my lunch bag. I'm feeling sluggish from all the relaxing and, I'll admit, overeating for comfort. I'm glad to feel sluggish rather than depressed and guilty because I know that Monday is the start to a week of good choices. There's really no other option since my food is in the appropriate, and portioned, containers, lol. So, no wiggle room for calorie failure! My biggest challenge will be dinner. I will want to overeat. However, my husband and I decided that going to the gym together after work works best for us. Even though I pushed it too hard the first week, the fact is that I still sit down all day and cannot afford to get cramped and stiff from inactivity. I decided that I will walk on the treadmill while he runs so that I do not wear myself out. I'll start slow and steady and see how it goes. Wish me luck! |
Wish you luck! I love how you already pre planned and packaged your meals. That makes everything so much easier! I just have to get my self together and do that! One less thing you have to think about durin the week regarding your food choices. Because so much time and energy can just go into thinking about what you are going to eat and trying to make the right choice. I love the saying that " no matter I slow you go, you are still lapping the perisn in the couch" so keep it up and good job!!!

Fatness - Thanks for the link!
Ross - Thanks for the compliment on my meal prep. My husband jokes that I'm crazy (his words, lol, I would call it organized) about the food prep. However, as his schedule is busier this semester, I've already packed a lunch for him and he's eaten one of the prepped dinners. Jokingly gloating aside, the 2 hours I spend Sunday afternoon portioning things into containers completely makes up for the 30 minutes of prep, 35-40 mins of cooking, 60 minutes of dinner, and 30 minutes of cleaning pans and dishes during the week. Or, it beats spending 30$ for carry out and who knows how many calories. The husband wants to save money, so guess he's gotta deal with the crazy, lol. *Disclaimer - I'm really just quirky, not bonkers! |
Ross - I love that saying as well!
|
199 tomorrow I hope, so I am taggin along! Lol : goal 140
