Evee, that show is very inspirational!

SCraver, your progress is wonderful! Thanks for the support and tips. I have wide feet, so I wear Saucony and New Balance (Seven Hundred) sneakers. The Saucony's seem to feel good for walking, but my NB's are lightweight and super comfy for running.

I started out at 275 and slowly made it down to what I am now (219) by walking. However we bought a treadmill and walking doesnt seem to work anymore so I started jogging.

Very impressive weight loss jettaGTgirl!!! How is jogging working out for you so far? Was it a hard adjustment for you?

I LOVE Saucony's! I like how I can feel the wind through them on breezy days! And they just feel good on my feet!

I always get lucky when I go to the DSW shoe store and find a pair of the same pink and white Saucony's for around $45, PLUS a percentage off of that! Matter of fact, that's where I found my New Balance 700's, too. I might have to go there this weekend!!

I sure did! I did my walk/jog routine on Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue & Wed. I took a rest day on Thur and didn't do any exercise because I was having lower back pain, due to lack of support and not holding in my 'lower' stomach while walking/jogging. Today, I only walked, so my back can heal a little more. But I bought a fabulous back support yesterday and used it during my walk. I'll try the walk/jog thing tomorrow morning, but very slowly. Last time that happened after I tried jogging, I ended up with a herniated disc in that same location on my back!

Other than that, I FEEL GREAT! I'm drinking lots of water, my knees don't ache, I'm not stiff getting out of bed in the morning and I am FULL of energy! AND, I'm down 4 pounds as of this morning!!! :carrot:

Thanks for asking!!

Yay! That is awesome!

For your back - can you do any kind of ab work? Not necessarily crunches on the floor or anything crazy - but Billy Blanks does thsoe things where you lean to the side with one leg out to the other side and then you pull you knee in to work your abs. Anyways - strengthening your core muscles might help with your back.

Youchie!

I love that one... also, standing punches (in a kind of crouched position) seem to really work the abs with minimal pain to the back.
