Default Looking for support and buddies!

Hello all,
My name is Sarah, and I just surfed onto this site. I am looking to share info and get advice while trying to get myself back to where I can not be embarrased to wear a bathing suit in public.

About a week and half ago, I started the South Beach Diet, and I ahve lost about 9 lbs. I am pretty proud of that, but I have to say it isn't finding easy recipes to stick with it. My family ordered a pizza tonight, and I had to beg them all to eat it fast or else I was gonna cave..thankfully they did just that!!

Is anyone else on the SB diet? If so, what did you east during phase one to be sure you weren't hungry?
I look forward to making some friends here!!

Hi!! I am counting calories. You will love this board!!! It has been a great help to me.

And, you have to be on for over a month with about 25 post or so to be able to make a ticker.

Hi Butterfly ..... congratulations on your success thus far .... I'm not on any specific diet ... but I have heard how good the South Beach Diet is and thinking of checking it out ....

I think it is 20 posts and 20 days for the ticker ........

Hi Sarah!

I'm not on South Beach (I like meat WAY too much and they don't look like they have enough for me!), but congrats on the 9 pounds! You'll find heaps of support here and over on the South Beach forum... I think someone's already given you a link for it.

We'll look forward to seeing you around on the forums!

I think you can make the ticker, but can't stick it in your signature until the 20 days/20 posts are up. I remember when mine showed up, it was a pretty magical thing to have a ticker that showed my weight loss to everyone- knowing my faults and booboos along the way to the end of the road- so I wasn't the only one to be looking at my numbers on the scale and seeing them go down.

Hi Sarah, welcome to 3fc! I just love popping on here every day and reading up on how everyone is doing and finding new tips.

I also would love to get into a bathing suit this summer and not feel self concious!
