Mornin' All!

How's everyone? Busy day ahead of me...have to go to mom's to hopefully sell a car to a guy I work with, then brunch with DH's family in the opposite direction. Somewhere in there I've got to squeeze in haircuts for the boys, whether we do it, or someone else does it, and a stop at the store to get a cute outfit for my nephew! Whew, it's gonna be a busy day!

Welcome to the newbies we have this week! Toni, MCMommy, and I think there was one or two more. We're glad to have you!

Job is going well, for those who asked. I lost one of my heavy travelers yesterday. He quit. Great guy, will miss him, but the poor guy travels soo much, no family life! So that will cut down on some of my work, less travel & expenses! At least until they replace him.

Have a great weekend all!

Happy weekend...lots of thunderstorms here...not much outdoor activity. However while the hubby went golfing, i rearranged the house so lots of lifting and pushing...I am sure that counts for something. take care and enjoy...

Evening All,
Sorry that I didn't post soon. But yesterday I was exhausted by the time I got home from training. Talked it over with my dh and decided to pass on the job. So I am back to looking for a summer job. They wanted me to go to friends homes and give them a presentation on Cutco knives. That would have been a good job if the area I live in is not going through a hard time with the economy. Then this morning, I went to work with my dh and helped him clean the city pool and then off to Wal-mart we went. He got some new shorts and t shirts. I got two workout outfits and 6 tops. Then I came home long enough to pack a suitcase, grab a sandwhich with my dh and then went to pick up my mil. We drove the four hours to my parents. Had a yummy dinner and then went to see my grandma. So my weekend has been busy so far. Tomorrow we are going to church with my parents and sister and then have a graduation party to go to. So it is going to be fun tomorrow seeing my mom's family as a bonus.
Welcome Toni! Glad you are on board with us. Yes I am a teacher. I teach 6th through 8th grade Multi-handicapped students. As for the transition of school to summer vacation. I try to keep busy during the summer, either cleaning house, playing with my stepkids, reading, working out, or getting a part-time job in the summer. Then it isn't so hard when I go back to school in the fall.
Hi to everyone else. I am starting to fade fast. So maybe I should close for now and get some shut eye. I will chat with you all tomorrow.
Take care,
Kerry

Mornin' All!

We had some really violent storms here last night. Not sure if there's any damage in the neighborhood, but it seemed to linger right over us for an hour or so! There were a couple of cracks of thunder/lightening that made me think that a tree was going to fall on my roof!

It's cloudy today, but looks like it might clear up.

Have a great day all!

Hey girls...

Glad to see everyone enjoying their weekends. THe boys went to see the Hulk movie, so Cady & I are gonna go pick up some steaks to grill for dinner. Went to a moroccan restaurant last night with some girlfriends....it was BYOB & I drank way too much beer, but I've been so good lately that I'm not too worried.

JOan, I finally tried Bud Light Lime last night...really good stuff, but I was already pretty lit when I had my first one, so I'm def. gonna get some to drink when I'm SOBER, so i can really assess it...but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna LOVE it.

Okay,. gotta run. HOpe everyone has a great father's day!@!

Hi everyone, I pulled the kids on the bike yesterday to my brother's house (7 miles). I'm pretty proud of myself since I haven't biked at all this year. Hopefully that will end the exercise slump I've been in.

Lauren, hope everything is okay in your neighborhood. We never get storms like that around here, it is kind of neat to hear lightning on the odd occasion that we have it. Makes me feel glad for the walls around me and like I want to "hunker down"

Kerry, I teach high school (9-12) math. This is the first summer that I have been trying to lose weight and I am having a hard time not having the structure of the day to keep me from "grazing" my way through the day. Just need more self-discipline I suppose. I am trying to plan my meals in my head in the morning when I am not very hungry, it worked pretty well yesterday.

Have a great day!

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all having a nice Father's Day. I got up this morning at the crack of dawn and decided to ride my mom's excerise bike. So I rode it for 30 minutes and logged 8 miles on it. Then got ready for church. This afternoon we went to my cousin's graduation party and then did a little shopping. Nothing too exciting. Buy me some new socks, a wind-up clock for my dh, and some dish soap. Since I think the other one at home is what broke my hands out in little white bumps. Now I think that I am going to take a nap. Then go visit my grandma this evening.
Lauren hope that everything is fine in your neighborhood. NE Ohio had some nasty storms on Friday night before I came home on Saturday. There are a lot of trees down and wind damage. Hope you weather cleared up some.
Pam sounds like you had a nice evening out with the girls last night. I am sure that you did fine with your eating and drinking. How was your instructors performance? Enjoy your steaks!
Toni, I know the feeling about the grazing. It takes time, but I broke myself of the habit. I just keep myself busy and then only think about food when it is time to eat anymore. Congrats on riding to your brother's house yesterday with the kids! Way to go!
Hi to everyone else. I am off to take a little catnap. Chat with you all later. Have a wonderful evening!

Afternoon!!!!

I can't believe how fast this day has gone by and I haven't accomplished anything.

Toni, not sure if I welcomed you aboard yet, 7 miles, thats along way to pull kids, great job. Do they sit in one of those buggys on the back?

Kerry, sounds like a nice weekend, enjoy your visit.

Pam, you're so lucky, ugh, I could use a night out with the girls. I would have to find some girls first though, lol.

Has anyone heard from Trish? Ive been worried about her everytime I watch the news about those floods.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'll post more tomorrow.
