Hi! I'm New Here!

  • Hi! My name is MrsLovett and I just joined this website recently! I'm 31 and I don't have any kids of my own (noticed the "kids" sticky) but have the most beautiful nieces (and a nephew on the way!) in the world! Seriously, they are my life! My twin and her two girls live just down the street, and my mom and I babysit basically every day, so it's almost like they *are* my kids I love them so much! In fact, my avatar is a picture of my almost 3 year old niece Julia from the other day! We were all going to my other sister's baby shower and she decided she wanted to dress up too, so that's her with my grandma's clip-on earrings and green pearl necklace! So cute!

I joined 3 Fat Chicks on the day I hit a mini-goal! 150 lbs, down from 168 lbs! I hit it on Friday rather than Thursday, but that's no big deal. I hope to get out of the 150's by this Thursday. I seem to have maintained so far, so let's hope that it GOES DOWN! I can't wait to see 149 lbs! I'm so excited! And I'm so excited to meet all of you!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi MrsLovett!! Nice to have you!! I'm in NJ also! Your niece is adorable!
  • Welcome aboard! You will meet many new and wonderful friends here!
  • Nice to see someone from NJ here!!! Thanks for saying my niece is adorable! I think she is too, and I tell her constantly! Lately she's been telling me "no" though... It saddens me...

    She's almost 3!!! That's their favorite word!! (I have a 3 & 5 y/o)
  • Yeah, I know, but it's not her usual "NO!", it's kinda a sad "no..." and then she's even started pointing out flaws. She'll say "no...belly." and then point to her belly. Or she did the same thing with her ears. I know that *I* have very low self esteem, and I'm very afraid of rubbing off on her. I don't think I complain about my flaws in front of her, but maybe she picks up on it somehow? Am I just paranoid?

  • I wouldn't worry about it. My 3 y/o is very inquisitive. He analyzes everything! I keep saying he's gonna be an engineer.
