Alicia, your friend should not have said that to you about quitting your job. You have bills and a family to take care of, and they should be your first priority...not that you don't love your grandparents, and would do everything you could, but it's not your responsibility. don't feel guilty for not being able to be there. Just do what you can, you're a wonderful person, and don't you feel badly for a minute!!!

Pam, I got my labs back a while ago, I have several nodules on my thyroid, they said it could possibly be cancer but they're not big enough to biopsy just yet we're gonna wait 6 mo. and ultrasound again. My thyroid levels were functioning in "normal" limits but endocrinologist Dr. thinks my iron might me way low and they never checked that. You would think if someone complains of having crazy visits from Aunt Flo, and being chronically tired, that you would check that.
Joan, yes, I am fixing all the food. UGH! Our yard is sopping wet too and we're having the party at our house in the garage. We will have to have everyone park down the lane and walk up to the house. So now DH says he never wanted to have it here to start with, Bull Hockey!!

well...same ol' thing here...yesteday was hard...last nigt was harder...on sunday night one of dominics really good friends..theyve been friends forever, his family loves my son as their own...his older brother died in a car accident..he was only 21...ugghhh...dominic is cracking..i just dont know what to do for him..the program isnt really helping...im disappointed in the program but....anyways..that is what is going on...gotta go get little mario..he is belllowing..he wants his movie before school!..have a great one
GG ~ You are one lucky girl... Tuscany with the fam in the near future. So nice. I would die of a heart attack if my folks ever suggested such a thing. Well, weigh-in went FABULOUS.... 7.2 lbs. down. However, the week before when I weighed in, I'd just eaten dinner and weighed in at 230. I never weigh myself in the evening so I'm technically still at 223. I feel really motivated this time around and hope to establish some good habits that stick. Lots of celebrations and field trips going on school these next few days so I progbably won't be around much. Hope that everyone has a great day.

Well preschool grad. was great. I cried before the "ceremony" because the teacher brougth up that Cady was the last one...I mean , I really started crying. I think it is REALLY going to hit me when I pick her up on the last day of camp in two weeks, cause then we really won't be going there anymore.

Trish I would be looking for another Dr. I can't believe they would wait that long to do test, I have not clue what is going on w/the medicine field, I do know that the underwriters (I think that is they're name) get bonuses every so often for so many things doctors ask for an approval on and if they reject a certain number like a quota type deal they get bonuses, I have heard that numerous times from different people, isn't it terrible! you really need to advocate for yourself and be very demanding when it comes to your health, specially when it is about health issues!!! Keep us posted!
I knew I was going to be near my inlaws house today, I went to get a hair cut and the salon is right by their house, so I cooked like crazy in the morning so I could take them some food ready to just heat, they are so sweet they were so appreciative, specially my FIL who does everything as mom (MIL) doesn't do anything anymore.
I forgot short hair equals more visits to the salon.
Well I had not a good day after that I crashed my car, fortunately I didn't get hurt and no one else got hit, I backed my car out of parking spot and I didn't see a short post right behind my car, OMG that little post did a lot of damage, DH is not exactly happy w/me right now, but it truly was an accident. It is going to be rather expensive to fix it.
oh well, I wish it didn't happen specially now, in this horrible recession.
DS is doing really well, he is very stable still, it is so nice! he rode his bike w/the other kids this afternoon and he asked if we could have one of the kids over for dinner, I couldn't say no, so the little boy came over for dinner w/his mom and his 2 brothers, they are a very sweet family, the mom is great, I am getting to know her a little, they just got divorced about 2 yrs ago. The X told her on X-Mas day 2 yrs ago he was having an affair and he was moving out. I just don't understand how anyone can do that, let alone living 3 very young children w/a broken home the boys are 10, 8 and 4. They are great kids, I like her a lot.
I am going to go get some rest, I am so upset over the accident I am all tense. NOT good
Alicia hello! I am so sorry about your gm, it doesn't sound good that everyone is fighting, that doesn't help. My family is like that, but they are like that all the time. always fighting w/one another, it is ridiculous. I don't have any contact w/them, every once is while my sister calls but that is it, it is just to draining for me, and you know I don't think to highly of my mother. I didn't mean to get all sidetracked.
Your friend is not right, your first priority is your family that means your husband and your children, you need to do what is best for your family.
