Got in my 2.5 miles on the tread & my 150 crunches...seems to be working a little. If nothing else I feel really good!!!
HOpe you all had a good Monday.
Joan, I hear you about being busy on the weekends...We have NOTHING planned until Thanksgiving, which is so unusual for us. Really works out, though, because my DH has three side jobs that just came up (he's a union plumber...construction) and we can use the money for Christmas!!! So that will take up a few Sats/suns.
I have to scoot & get DD to preschool, then off to a flea market with my friend. HOpefully the rain will stop I heard they have Crocs for 6.00, and I want them for the kids to use as their backyard shoes. It is getting a little dirty in the backyard (happens every fall) and I can't stand having to help DD with her shoes. These she can just slip on & off, and I can just wash the mud off...perfect!! Gonna get some for DS, too. Hopefully he won't give me a hard time about wearing them!!
Pam ~ hah! Good luck getting DS into a pair of Crocs... my son wouldn't be caught dead in them. I've never bought them but they sure do look comfy.
I feel so much better this morning. I was dead on my feet tired last night. DH was so sweet and told me to go off and take my walk and that he'd put the kids to bed. Getting out and getting some fresh air was the best thing for me. I slept like a baby and woke up bright and early feeling refreshed:-). Time to go wake three little monsters... Happy Tuesday ~ Joan
Good Morning Everyone! It's starting out as a rainy, yucky day here. I'm not sure if it's supposed to clear up or not. It makes me very unmotivated to get up and get stuff done. I just want to laze around when it's rainy and cold.
Cassie woke up at 5 today, she hasn't adjusted to the time change yet. Luckily she took a nice long nap so I snoozed right along with her!
Lauren: Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
Joan/Pam: The crocs are awesome. We all have a pair (well, except the baby). Alex loves his. Right now he has a bright neon green pair. You just throw them in the washing machine when they get grungy. DH mowed the lawn in his on Saturday so they were very dirty. They are in the washer right now.
Doing pretty sucky on the diet lately. I can't seem to keep myself out of the Halloween candy even tho it's in the freezer. Sigh. I need to get this stuff out of the house. I have NO willpower. If it's here, I will eat it. Even frozen.
Girlie has turned into destructo baby so I have to go wrangle her! Have a great day!
Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. We got all the funeral home arrangements done yesterday and Aunt B is doing flowers and stuff today. I have to bring a photo of Gran to them tonight. The viewing is tomorrow and the funeral Thursday.
Karen, I hear you, nothing could keep me from Chocolate, If it is in the house I will eat it.
Pam, you go girl, excellent on the exercising.
Joan, good for you for getting the walk in. Exercise does help us feel better. I know I feel better when I am "into" it.
Lauren, sounds like a rough week ahead, big hugs.
My poor dog, she gets into these fits every year when she just chews the hair on her back into a big mess. Some kind of skin allergies. I guess I haven't paid it too much attention (this time) as I a have had other things on my mind. She wont let me touch it and I am not good with boo boos of any kind. I can't get her into a vet untill Thursday. She just looks miserable.
It is pretty cold and windy today they say we may get some snow this week. Don't think I'm quite ready for it yet.
I woke up to snow on my car this morning. Luckily it wiped right off with the windshield wipers. (I was running late.) The ground is still to warm for it to stick, but they said we might get black ice the next few nights on overpasses and bridges.
Lauren once again I am very sorry. It is great you got all the arrangements made.
Laurie good for you!
Alicia is there another vet you can take the poor dog to? I am sorry!
Lisa drive very carefully, I hope you don't get to much snow
Pam you are it girl, good for you, you are so motivated that is great!
Joan I hear you on the Crocs for boys, I don't think Sean would wear them either. I have a pair and I love them. How wonderful to have such a great husband! fortunatly Michael is great too, I am lucky that way!
Today I am starting to feel a little better, we have been very stress since the whole thing w/Sean right before the fires and then the fires of course. Tonight we need to keep him awake till midnight and wake him up at 4 am and keep him awake till the appointment at Children's hospital at 9:30am I have no clue how we are going to be able to drive down there w/out him falling asleep in the car, but Michael doesn't want to stay in San Diego for the night, can't figure that out, I think he is just worried that in a hotel room it would be much more difficult to keep him entretained than at home. So basically we are going to be up all night. I wouldn't want to be around myself tomorrow LOL, I am sure if I am awake I will be pretty cranky!!!
I got to run, I have someone at the door.
hey all..today was very busy at work. Finally brought my dog in for her dental. She's a bit drunk right now=...lol...still a bit grogy from the sevo...but at least she has pearly whites now.
lois - sounds like seasonal allergies if it only happens once a year...but could be other things. Not really much you can do at home. You can try benedryl..doesnt work for all dogs though. I don't know the dogs weight..but heres a range...if dog is around 12 lb give them one childs does of benedryl. if 25lbs give one adult dose (25 mg) of benedryl if 50 lb, 50 mg...normally i don't give more than 50 mgs at atime. This won't fix the problem but might help give some relief until thurs. good luck
lauren - hang in there
congrats to you lori..that's awesome
hannah - man that will suck..but hope everything is good
hey to everyone else
hello again!
GGRRRR... the cable in my area is down, I called the, and their answer is they don't know when TV/Cable will be restored, I am not happy, this is not a good night to be w/out TV, I was relaying on it to keep Sean awake, I guess we are going to have to watch DVDs.
I have to tell you I got the bill for the ambulance ride from my house to where they met the helicopter to take Sean to the hospital, literally 2 blocks away, the bill is $970, I called them and gave them all the insurance info, I will not have to pay anything. Then I called the helicopter co. to find out what the charges were and to give them the insurnace information, the bill for that was $12K it was a 15 minute ride! that is also covered 100%
amazing, isn't it?
