Took DS to see his occupational therapist today and the office is in the worst place imaginable... right smack dab between Panera Bread Co. and Oberweis Ice Creamery... I normally stop and let the kids get an ice cream after his session while I stick with a cup of coffee. I did the same thing again today ~ such resistance is scaring me. It's just not normal behavior for me ~ LOL. I always take along apples and water for us to munch on during the drive and that seems to be helping. I know that if I went into the ice cream shop with an empty stomach I'd be in BIG trouble. Even BIGGER than I already am;-). Ice cream is a huge weakness of mine during the summer months.

Lauren - Your BP was just fine "Normal" is 120/80. Some people get "white-coat hypertension" AKA Blood pressure that rises due to being in the doctor's office. Plus, were you sitting quietly for at least 10 minutes before they took it? Who am I kidding? You were probably sitting there for 30 minutes! Also, I don't know how big your arms are and please don't take offense, but some of us need the "large" arm cuff. If they use a regular one for a large arm, the reading will be higher. Just some thoughts.

Joan - OMG...you resisted Oberweiss AND Bread Co.? You are one strong woman!! I caved into Steak N Shake yesterday. I love it. It was the only thing I ate all day or night though. So, does DH wear a tutu when delivering that beer;);)?

Hanna - I am so sorry for you and your family. Poor little guy. I am sure he is so confused by why his brain makes him do crazy stuff. There has to be something to be done, someone else he can see. Thanks for asking about DH. We are actually going on a vacation to HI in 2 weeks. So, I'll get all my snuggling in while I can.

Sheila - I sure hope you have a wonderful birthday this weekend and that you get the present you want from DH (kindness). It sure is better than anything money can buy. But if not, treat yourself to a spa day or something. You are a beautiful and strong woman and deserve a little pampering.

GG -Have fun with DH this weekend. Good thing it's only 1 more week. Time sure does fly. Sorry to ask another vet question, but my little guy needs his teeth deep cleaned. He has to undergo anesthesia for this. Does $430 sound about right? He's a 5 year old min pin. I know it's hard when you are in a different state with different pricing. We are going to have it done when he is boarded for our trip, so between the boarding and teeth, I'm looking at almost $1000!!! Yikes. Thanks for your patience with all of our questions.

MO - I agree with Lauren. Where was your antivirus software????? It is a necessity. But it really bites to have the computer down. On anther note, you look great in your pics!!!!

Well, I had my hair cut and brows waxed today. Now I look a little bit more presentable. Actually, she did a really good job on both and I am happy.

joan: thanks for thinking of us...dominics birthday was actually aug 1st...he turned 16!...today is little marios birthday...he is 3..i just cant believe it..both of my boys are getting so big...as far as dominic goes...yesterday was the end of his first 30 days...he will be gone for 9 months total...BUT..he is in the same city as me and so he will be getting home passes and he will be able to do things with the family soon...so thats better for me than him being far away...thanks again for thinking of us

hello everyone has been a long week i have been so tired all week. i am on day 5 of the chantix and wow it is making me so tired. it is taking everything out of me. and me being me i picked the best week of the month to start it too. but i am told this will pass soon. and it is making me have the weired dreams.
things with dh have been good too he is now eating 3 times a day and feeling a lot better too. don't know if he has lost any but i am sure he will. well i am about too fall asleep on the keyboard so it is off to bed.

Evening All,
Been super busy today. This morning I had my Avon order to sort and bag up for my customers. Then get some flyers ready for a business thing tomorrow. Then it was off to run some errands. Took my stepsons out to lunch. I was good and had a big chef salad. Then caved and had dessert. It was sort of healthy. Strawberry shortcake. Came home for a few minutes only to have dh rush us out the door. Had to drop the boys off to their stepdad. Then take dh to dinner at Dakota's Steakhouse since he hadn't eaten all day. Then it was off to my co-worker's wedding reception. Well there my dh hurt my feelings. A slow song was played and I asked him to dance with me. He told me that he didn't feel like it. Now mind you all the rest of my co-workers and their spouses or dates went out to dance. I just thought it would be nice to dance with him. But if we go out with our group of friends, it is nothing for him to dance with our friends' wives when they ask him to. I think he might just get the cold shoulder tonight when I go to bed.
Enough about me.
Hanna, sorry to hear that the hospital says there is nothing else they can do for your little guy. Can they suggest other resources available to you? Keep your head up through out this ordel. Sending you a huge hug. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

GG, glad you were able to improve your time today. Don't you just love a great hike. I wish it wasn't so hot here in Ohio or my butt would be at Old Man's Cave walking on the trails there. Have a fun time in Portland for your training.

Just a note to let you all know that I went to the fair on Thursday night and just bought a water. Then went to Buffalo Wild Wings and ate wings for dinner. So I think I did pretty good.
