Mornin' All,

RR, is right!! Wow! Congrats though!

I have to contact unemployment and reopen my claim today. Mom is having a lot of pain and can't get up by herself. In a minute she's probably gonna call me to get her off the toilet. I'm trying to be a good daughter, but I am not enjoying this. I don't mind my kids pee, poop, or puke, but I don't really wanna be near anyone elses!! I can't handle it!
There's my call...

9 15 that is a biggie
things are good here, just plugging away. The scales are totally not moving. I have not fallen off the plan and have really been exercising. I guess that might be it but I hate to be doing well and the scales don't move.
Frustrating!! I weigh in Saturday so still ahve a few days before I officially weigh.

Good morning everyone!

RR congratulations on the new baby, I could not even begin to imagine how painful it would be to have a baby with out pain killers, thank goodness for medicine! I am glad she changed her mind. She is a big baby! mazal tov (congratulations)

Lauren hang in there, you are a terrific person! you are a great daughter. I hope your mom gets thought this really soon, I wish her a speedy recovery. And to you keep your chin up! Remember you are a great example for your children, you are teaching awesome things by being there for your mother, they will be great adults! I am way to far away to help, I wish I could.

Big John Sean is bipolar, DH and I adopted him when he was 5 weeks old, he was a drug baby, so there is more than just bipolar, we are convinced he has neurological damage, but it can't be tested, it sux! It has been very challenging.

Christina you are a great person, I am glad Dominic is doing ok, soon he will be out, hopefully he learns from this experience that is all you can hope for, you can't change things around, but you are a great mom! Keep up the good work. Have fun with your mom. Are you ready for the birthday party? what is the theme?

Tiffanie I agree with Christina, try to change your exercise routing a little bit, that may really help. Are you doing a lot of cardio? right before my surgery my trainer suggested I didn't do any cardio for about 2 weeks, she suggested my body could use a rest from it, it is like shocking your body (for lack of better words or way to say it) then start again but using completely different equipment. I was on the elliptical everyday for at least 45 minuets, she suggested alternating the bike, stairs, and elliptical 3 days a week. When I get back to the gym which I though I was ready for but I am definitely NOT I will alternate like she suggested.

Sean left to school already, I am restless and I am not feeling well, I have to call the doctor today I am afraid I might had pulled something yesterday while chasing DS and all the stress. I got to go get my
I will be back later.

Everyone else I missed

Hanna

Default I'm Baaack!

Hi Everyone!

What a wonderful holiday I had. My sister's wedding was incredible. It was her third marriage (let's hope third time is a charm!), and it was the first time she got to do everything she wanted with no budget restrictions. It was amazing and she was a beautiful bride.

I didn't stay 100% on plan but was pretty careful. I still managed to lose 1/2 a pound so I won't complain. And I ate anything I really wanted without guilt. It definitely helped that we kept lots of SF products around and there was lots of fruit and veggies. We ate out quite a bit, but I tried to order lower fat, grilled foods instead of fried.

I'm glad to be home and will be back at the gym tonight. I was supposed to fly home on Sunday, but ended up missing my flight and so didn't get home until Monday and then took Tuesday off to get settled in and unpack. I left with 2 suitcases and came back with 5! I guess a bunch of new clothes and sixteen pairs of shoes will do that! Ha! What fun though and I got a bunch of new stuff that fits much better and is more flattering than most of what I own now. It's the first time since the early 90's that I've been able to fit into a 14 (woman's size). In Canada I'm still a 16 or 18, but I was in a snug 20 so I'm feeling good.

I also got a new blender/food processor/juicer combo that I can't wait to check out. I'm excited to be able to make my own juices. My mom is getting the magic bullet and it's a 2 for 1, so she'll send me one.

I hope everyone is doing terrific, feeling good and staying on plan.

Have a wonderful day!

RR - 9&1/2lbs??!!!?? OMG. owweee. I still can't imagine being up at 4am. I barely can get my butt out of bed at 8am when I have to be to work at 9am.

Hanna - so sorry the meds aren't working now. It must be so frustrating especially if DH doesn't see the total meltdowns like you have to. I know you and DH will do what is best for Sean.

Michelle - Glad you were able to get custody (guardianship) of Nevaeh without much hassle. Will keep my ears to the news of any showdowns there in CA.

Christina - That was very sweet of you to share your story for Michelle. I know that couldn't be easy for you. Good for you that you've turned yourself around.

GG - I know the home warranties have a ton of loopholes (we are fighting about our dryer right now). It is 30 years old and keeps breaking. They won't replace it. It's a looonggg story. Anyway, I hope that they replace or fix your a/c. I think the service fee is worth it to find out especially for something big like that. Good for you getting so much walking in. Your doggie must be in heaven. It feels good to get settled into a new routine.

Lauren - saying a prayer for your mom. I am not a caregiver. I only hope some dormant gene kicks in if I ever have kids.

Well, all...I'm off to work. Was **** last night. Sometimes the public can just be so mean. Why will people wait an hour to get a table at a restaurant, but they can't wait 20 minutes for me to get the right medication for them???? Sorry, little rant.

I'm back...been tearing the house apart looking for DH's birth certificate and license renewal form. He said he had it in the mail center organizer thingy by the front door last week, and now it's gone. I don't see it on the floor behind it, so I ended up going through piles and piles of mail! I found a stack of mail in the buffet that one of us must've shoved there once while cleaning, and it was from 2004-05!! Now I have to go through the secretary, but I don't think it's in there, there's mostly framed pics and kid's books in those drawers.

I have an interview at 3:30 today. It's for a Real Estate company, in the headquarters. The way they schedule me makes me leary though, because she didn't ask any questions, and scheduled it like it was an appointment or something. Maybe it's just a screening interview, but I'm not wearing my best suit for this one, a nice summer suit will do just fine, I think.

Heard from my recruiter and it looks like I may have an interview early next week too, it's a temp position though.

Also heard from my realtor. He managed to get through to the seller's agent, so we could get into the house tomorrow for the cesspool guy to do his job and find out if there is/was one there. He also mentioned that we have a temporary closing date of 8/21!! I asked if he was sure, because originally it was around 9/18. He did tell me a few weeks ago that the wife bought a new house and her closing is 8/22, so I have to wonder.

Thanks for the encouragement, I really appreciate it. I have mostly been walking so will have to get on the rowing machine. I have also started eating fruits and viggies galore which I rarely do so I am hoping it's just a matter of time before the scales move. Either way they are going to move I am going to throw the darn things out the back door HA!

Hi Guys, Thanks for the BD wishes. It's a slow one this year. I've been having trouble with being soooo tired this week. Everytime I sit down to nurse the baby I fall asleep. I'm trying to stay home more 'cause we have been running so much this summer. Alex keeps saying "What's next?". I guess he's gotten used to the fast pace! I guess that's why I'm so tired. Or the thyroid meds aren't working. Hmm, maybe I hit on something. I forgot to take it this weekend. Hey, maybe that's it. Hopefully it will level off soon.
I hate feeling like a slug!

Lauren: I thought I had read all the threads, but I thought you had gotten a job. Am I confused? I wouldn't be at all surprised if I am. I hope your Mom is feeling better soon. I know how hard it is to deal with adult needs (ex-therapist and all!). If you need help, let me know. I can talk you through some ways to deal that may help.

Hanna: I'm so sorry to hear that the meds aren't working and that the decision is facing you. Do you qualify for any respite care? That would give you a break.

RR: Congrats on your new niece! I bet she is perfectly adorable!

Christina: Awe, supervising sucks sometimes. I hated having students when it came to the supervision part!

Michelle: Sorry that Jessica isn't listening. I'm sure she thinks she knows better than you! I hope things settle for you.

OK, I know I'm forgetting people. Sorry !! We have to go get ready for Karate class now. Is it November yet? Our contract is up in Nov and we aren't going to renew. We decided to hold him out until he's old enough to go to our old teacher. He doesn't take children until they are 6.

Tamara- Welcome back!!! Did you say 16 pairs of shoes???? Wow. Are you originally from the US?

Karen- Happy birthday, hope you get out of the funk for some birthday fun!!

Christina- I miss the birtday parties when they are little. My daughter was so much fun to have parties for. Now they are older. She didn't even want a party this year ENJOY it!!!! Oh and congrats on the shoes, what colors did you choose?

I am attempting to make homemade spaghetti sauce tonight. I had 16 small tomatoes from my garden. Wish me luck, I've never made it homemade before.

Have a good evening everyone!

Hi again...

No Lois I'm originally from Canada, but my mom has been state-side for about 16 years and my sister is in her fifth year there.

Yes! I did say SIXTEEN pairs of shoes! LOL, I don't normally buy that many pairs at once. In fact it's not abnormal for me to buy only a couple pairs a year, but the deals were amazing and so I took full advantage.

Good luck with the homemade sauce...mmmm!
