well all, today, my bite wound itches...doesn't really hurt, but darn that tetnus shot. Rolled over to my right side while sleeping and definately felt that. but we'll see...and no the patient wasn't remorseful. It was a German Shepherd i was seeing for aggressive tendencies. We're trying to "fix" him before he really hurts someone...and not the vet who pokes and probs him LMAO. So today i get to work....and last night i realized something....IT WAS A FULL MOON. RR can probably attest to this, but when the full moon comes out...the crazies come out LMAO. we'll see how many crazies come out LOL. And yes don't worry...i think i am getting DH to do most of the moving today LMAO. got to run...talk to everyone laters. Welcome all newbies.

Hi All,

I'm headed to school in a few minutes, but wanted to check in first.

GG, Ouch on the tetnus...figures that hurt more, right?

Karen, When I went for my physical, they did b/w and the dr. left me a message saying all was great, except my cholesterol was up a little. 248 total - bad is 149 (should be <130), good is 56 (should be >45). He wants to redo it in a few weeks, fasting. Although I was fasting last time??

Have a great day all!

Morning all!

GG ~ Yikes! Sorry to hear of your bite wound. I take it that this has happened before??? I have a good friend that works in a mental hospital and she hates working on the nights of a full moon LOL.

GG ~ question for you ... I know what "LOL" means but what does "LMAO" stand for?

Lauren ~ what are you going to school for? Hope that you have a great weekend.

Hey, we had a showing on our house the first day of the market ~ yippeee!!! Open House isn't until next Sunday so we'll see what happens between now and then...

I try to get my can out of bed and walk on the treadmill (or outside in nice weather) Doing right away helps because if I wait around too many other distractions get in the way. Here I'm sitting in my work out clothes, checking this website to get my daily dose of inspiration when in walks DH with donuts and coffee. Oh NO! Now it is rare that he brings back donuts and coffee and I'd be lying if I told you that I'm not going to have one (ok two) BUT I'm still going to walk. Hope that everyone has a great weekend ~ Joan

So, here it is nearly 30 minutes later ... I figured out what "LMAO" was while on the treadmill. I'm going, "LMAO?".... "LMAO?".... Oh! Now, wouldn't that be nice if we could actually do that?!

Decided to hit the treadmill *before* eating deep fried donuts... How stupid is that? Somebody please send me will power dust!

tells joan...quick run away from the donuts...lol...and btw lmao means "laughing my butt (but use a curse work) off". As for bites..i've had a few in my career...but they usually aren't bad enough to send me to the e/r. this is the first time for sutures from a bite wound. and congrats on the showing of the house. Me and DH never did an open house. My realtor said we could do one if we wanted, but she said she never really got a good response from open houses...just mostly nosey neighbors wanting to know what you had LOL. But i know some ppl who love them. We lucked out...we showed our house many times. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully your's sells quickly. BTW - being nosey...why you selling? R you moving, or just moving up to a different house?

LBH - have fun in school today!

Hi everyone,

So yesterday was a bit of a wash. I've finished this month long career discovery course and I've had some sleep issues - as in oversleeping a lot. I went to the doctor this week for something else and he said not to worry about it, if it's only happening irregularly. But yesterday I slept 12 hours and was upset at myself for wasting the day. I set up a group of friends to meet and talk about finances. I feel more in control now. I'm going to find a dog to walk ideally five days a week, one hour in the morning. I'm going to make flyers and go to a max of 20 neighbours today. Any monies I make, I'll put towards my line of credit. But it will be a good way to make myself walk for an hour in the morning too.

Gator: when I first read about the bite, I was worried that it was a human bite. That must be so painful from a German shepard. You seem to be taking it in stride. I remember hearing from nurses when I worked at the hospital (clerical, IT) that no one wanted to take ER shifts on a full moon as craziness went up a notch.
Joan: poof, here's some willpowder dust, hee hee.
LBH: have a good day at school today
Michelle: too bad about working on a Saturday.

Cheers,
Allison

well so far i haven't seen the full moon effects, but i'm on call all weekend so we'll see. Also, the day has been so dreadfully slow....but oh well. not much i can do.
LOL at joan ...i too wish we could LMAO...man that would make wt loss easier
hey there goddess
duck - yep taking things in stride..not much i can do about it...part of my hazards of the job. Sounds good what you are planning. It is hard to get out of credit debt...but do your best to work to it. Dog walking is a great idea..and good wt loss. I walk my dog at least 5 days a week for her benefit and mine. Good luck...and look towards the future...the past is the past..you can't change anything now...just live in the future and make plans to do better and learn from your mistakes...hang in there...plus start exercising..might help with the sleep issues. godd luck!

Good afternoon! We have been running all day. We left home at 10 for Alex's karate class and just got home a few minutes ago (3:40). Whew. We took Alex to the grocery store because they were having a 50th birthday party for The Cat In The Hat. Let's just say that my child was not on his best behavior and had to be taken out of the place kicking and screaming. Gotta love those days!

Not doing bad on eating today. I've set small goals for myself for a couple of days. No between meal snacks right now. And I am following it so far. Monday I will start with real dieting. I think exercising will be a huge help and I lecture myself every day. I'm not moving yet! I have to run to Costco to pick up my new glasses, after that I will take a walk on the treadmill.

GG: I hope your finger is feeling better. I was an Occupational Therapist in my pre-kids life and I can attest to the full moon phenomenon. I've seen studies that say it isn't true, but I don't buy it. I've seen it too many times. Things go crazy! (or maybe I should say PEOPLE go crazy!)

Joan: It's a little late in the day but I'm sending some will power dust your way. Maybe you can use it on something else! And I agree, I wish I could laugh my @ss off. Here is another one you may see: ROFLMAOPMP. That is: Rolling On Floor Laughing My @ss Off Peeing My Pants. Now that's a pretty funny sight! LOL.

Lauren: Yup, what are you in school for? I've got to catch myself up!

Michelle: Hope work wasn't too bad.

Allison: Good luck on getting some dogs to walk. Where are you? If you were in NJ I'd hire you to walk DS. Just kidding. He needs more exercise and hopefully now that it's warming up we can get some park time in.

OK, gotta get my behind in gear and go back out to get those new glasses! Just an FYI if you wear glasses. I got regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses (both with all the special coatings, etc) for less than the price of the lenses from Sears and Lenscrafters. I was shocked at the price difference. I just hope they are right when I go get them.

Fricken fracken Costco! Just the sunglasses were in. I wish they had said that in the message they left. I would have waited (and definitely would NOT have gone on a Saturday) until they were both in. It was a total madhouse.

Welcome Mamalena!! Sounds like you'll fit right in here!

Rough night here...Peter's been puking since around 6 and the diarrhea started around 10. He's finally sleeping, hopefully that's it, but I dunno. It's definitely a virus. Time to go move laundry around and remake our bed.

Oh, school - for Real Estate!

Hello everyone. Boy, what a day you all have had. I am a pharmacist and too can attest to the full moon nuttiness. It's like they come out of the woodwork. The termite infested woodwork.

GG - sorry about your finger. I always say itching wound = healing. Guess my nasty paper cut pales in comparison and I should quit whining! But it really hurts and bled forever. That's my big occupational hazzard!

Joan - good luck on the house. We are putting ours on the market very soon so my DH can come join me here in MO. It's no fun getting the house "show ready" Hope it sells quickly for you.

Mama - welcome. You will find good people here with very kind ears.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

Kerri
