Ice Cream! I like most low fat versions too but I can't keep it in the house, it calls my name and I have to eat it until it's all gone. Since I've recently quit smoking it's even worse and I crave it constantly.
My most difficult foods to resist are white carby/salty/sweet foods like baked goods, pretzels, cold cereal, crackers.
I generally just try to significantly reduce/eliminate these foods. They don't taste good enough to make up for the "out of control" bingy want more more more feeling I get when I eat them.
The most difficult thing for me is not a type of food, but an event. I find it hardest to stay on plan in social situations - parties, going out to eat with friends etc. I am constantly working on new coping strategies for success in those areas. What I found that does NOT work for me is trying to eat a healthy dinner then go to the event and expect to not eat, I just eat twice. So, that's out!
Mac and cheese. I cannot control myself around it so I banned it all together. That is honestly a huge part of why I piled on the last thirty pounds or so. I have yet to find an alternative, though I'm probably better off just forgetting about it. Haven't eaten it in about four months.
Though, I'm kind of a carb addict in general. *pokes icon*
I have a rather strange one, but it was a weekly meal for me and my DH. Blue box mac and cheese with 3 hot dogs sliced in it.
I am working on a replacement. I have tried the the Lean Cuisine mac and cheese with a Jumbo Turkey hot dog sliced up in and it was good, though I think I will try a couple more of the prepared diet mac and cheeses out there like smart ones and healthy choice to see if I have a preference.
Its certainly far less calories than the 900-1200 calorie meal I used to eat. My Lean Cuisine and Turkey Hot Dog version was only 410 calories. Which is less than what the mac and cheese used to be in my old version.
for me it's either pizza or fast food. I've had the "diet" frozen pizza's and they're just ok, I like the lean cuisine ones the best. I haven't yet found a healthy alternative to fast food that satisfies me!

My weaknesses are lasagna, pasta, bread and whole milk. I'm getting use to skim milk and whole wheat bread, but i wouldn't dare change my italian recipes, but I do use whole wheat pasta in them now. I just eat smaller portions and make sure I don't go over my calories limit.
I figure if I eat things I love sometimes, it will be easier to maintain my diet. Seems to be working, I really don't feel like i'm on a diet.
