I'm desperately trying to get back on track with eating. This will be day 3 of not eating horribly if I can do as well as the last 2 days. I haven't started using fitday yet but I'm trying to keep portions in control and not eat around the clock. Last night I had to fast for a blood test this morning so that actually helped me not to eat as I wanted to get the blood test done early this morning so I could eat breakfast afterwards. Once I get this eating under control then it's back to serious exercise.

I haven't read all the thread as I'm so far behind but I trust everyone is doing as well as they can. September I'm going to jump right in tying to post everyday or so.

Hi everyone! It's been a long time.
Started this week off great, then I went back to work today after after a nice long summer off (work in a school), and they had a spread for breakfast which I avoided, yeah me. Then lunch rolled around with six foot heroes, pasta salad, and cake. I forgot all about my chicken on whole wheat and dove in. I had a piece of the hero, pasta salad, and half a piece of cake that I licked the plate clean. God I have no will power.... good intentions but no will power. I am afraid to log it in, I might get depressed. Well glad to be back with you guys at any rate.

Good Morning Ladies

Had my growth taken off my nose and it hasn't formed a scab yet,so I have to parade with a big bandage on my nose. UGGGHHHH!!! Hope I will be able to take it off by Sun when I'll be going to church, but We might not be going anyway if Danny is going to hit.

CEBME-You're welcome,we have to support each other, either with calorie counting of every day experiences.

BARGO-Yes that exactly what I'm doing. Along with having a moderate day of 1000c. I'm following a formula similar to WW Wendie Plan or calorie counting cycling. but more extreme than the two,as I want to get this weight off.

RETIRE-Glad that your doing nicely on your fist 3 day, just continue what is best for you and you'll do fine. I have my blood test some time next month, and than I'm going to hit the doctor with lots of questions about weight loss, and other health matters.Sending you [[[[[good vibes]]]]] for a good W-I.

CATMALVO-Welcome back to the chat,The weekend is here and you can start over again, just focus on the calorie count that you have choose and continue onward. I know, there's lots of temptations with food around us all the time, and those super heroes are hard to resist. Glad that you came back, and how we'll be able to support you along the way.

Have a nice morning, will come back this afternoon, and see how you guys are doing.

beachbum, I am shocked that you would even consider 500 calories a day. That isn't enough to sustain life. 1200 calories a day is the absolute lowest you should go or you are robbing yourself of needed nutrients . Going so low in calories may have the opposite effect that you are looking for.Sorry if I sound like a crabby old lady, call it tough love.

Hi. I made it through last night without eating going to bed. I hope I've got that licked (he, he). Yesterday I even got on my exercise bike and logged on 5k. I was doing about 15 to 20k when everything got out of control so that's what I'm aiming for again. Now if I can get outside and walk. But on a nice side note I went blueberry picking yesterday and today. The berries are wild and free for the picking so I'm getting lots for the winter. And the bending up and down while picking must account for some kind of exercise.

One of my kitties had to go to the vet for coughing. She has asthma, inflamition in her lungs and a slightly enlarged heart. They don't know why but the tests for the really bad stuff all came back negative and she is responding to her meds so she will probably be ok. The question is whether we can still go on our trip next week. If she needs meds 3 times a day then still I won't be able to go. My two kitties are like my kids, they mean the world to me and I could not have fun knowing she wasn't getting her meds. We don't have anyone who could house sit while we are gone for 3 days so... either she gets better or I stay home with the costumes I spent 2 months almost 8 hours a day, 7 days a week or more on. She is more important. There will be other events, there will never be another kitty girl quite like her.

Hi girls. I was wondering if I could hang out with you.

I've been slack over the past few months, and have been "maintaining" at about 190lb (down from 216). But now I'm refocussed and looking forward to losing the rest of the weight I need to.

I'm pretty proud of myself today. I had a friend's daughter's 18th birthday party. These people are notorious overcaterers, and really really good cooks. So it was with some trepidation that I turned up. That plus the fact that I worked night duty last night, and my willpower goes west when I'm overtired.

So I got there and nibbled on snow peas and carrots. There were heaps of wonderful casseroles, like prawns in a creamy coconut curry sauce, and an oily noodle stir fry. I had cous cous and sweet and sour chicken. And that's all!

I had one small glass of champagne, and the tiniest square of delicious mud cake (about a teaspoon full). But I planned for that, and counted it. Not something I would have done in the past.

Monday is my first weigh in since being "back". And it will be interesting to see how I go.

Oh, and I have my first ever 10K tomorrow. It's supposed to be stinking hot. Wish me luck.

Prinny, I know what you mean about kitty. It would be a shame to miss the event, but nothing is more important than your girl. I hope she's ok.

Good Morning Ladies

It raining cats & dogs, and I'm not going out to step in a puddle Seriously, we are expecting for the winds to whip up from Danny some time late afternoon into tomorrow, they really don't know. The winds are going to be 40MPH but we're used to those as we get them every winter.

Well this morning I'm wearing a smaller bandage this morning,as the larger one is making me crossed eyed.. Still not scab, hope that it doesn't leave a scar, but if it does I be putting more makeup on that spot.

BARGO-I'm only doing the 500 3 x a week with a 1000 & 4 x a week 1600 calories. It me its not dangerous. As it similar to the WW Wendie plan or calorie cycling. I use Spark people and I can see the charts and according to them I'm get all my nutrients in.

RETIRE-Congrats for having a perfect day food wise & exercising. You dong fantastic.

PRINNY-So sorry about your kitty and now having to stay home with her, after all the hard work you've done with the costumes. You don't have any neighbors or friend to take care of her when your gone.?????????They must be some one.

PRIMM- to the chat. there always room for anyone that wants to join us. Congrats on your 26 lb loss so far,and what I reading on your post it seems like you're in control of the eating situation.Good Luck on your fist W-I this Monday.

Have a great weekend ladies

I felt that I needed to post because it has been a hard time in the land of calorie counting. I've been finding hiden calories every place I look... My husband has been going back to old habits of using more oil and adding butter to things that don't need it. I also found that the quick mart where I occasionally get coffee switched from low fat creamer to regular half and half and no longer has non-fat milk either (new owner). And my own doing...I have been craving after dinner snacks when I haven't been really hungry. ...but, I have been trying very hard and am down half a pound now! I also signed up for my exercise class this morning! Back on track!

Thanks everyone! She is doing much better. DH & I are now are sure that she has asthma attacks brought on by panic which is actually quite common in cats. We just never saw it before because she is fairly unshakable. I have never seen a cat who takes things in stride like she does, but a few nights ago a deer walked right by the window and she has never seen anything so big up close and FREAKED.

Adding to that I am sick. It's a cold, not flu but I feel like a steaming pile of poop. It's also REALLY hot and we only have AC in one room and it can't keep up.

All of this means the costumes that were supposed to be done today are not. We may or may not be going, it depends on how the vet visit goes Tuesday.

In other news down to a flat 133 today despite me sitting on my a$$ for the last few days due to illness and heat. Since my acceptable weight range is 130-135 I am not too fussed about the last 3 pounds.

babybluess Obstacles like that are so hard to deal with. I am so lucky my DH got on board with the new eating style with me. I'd say if yours is putting extra fat in things you need to make your own food, and just let him do whatever. Find another place to get coffee, and be sure to let your old place know they lost a customer... that actually does work sometimes. I bet the cravings are partly due to the frustration.
