Yesterday, I bought a mini stepper with resistance bands from K-mart because it was on sale, and also, it doesn't take up room.
My question is, has anyone else used these machines, and have they lost weight on it? In addition, is there a particular way of exercising on it, since mine didn't come with any instructions or a Cd....
Hi nemisisclaws,
i was wondering about the same machine, i saw them at target from @ $69.
i considered it for the same reason, it doesn't look like it'd take up much room.
have you tried it?
No i did not buy it yet, i wanted to see if anyone liked it.
does it bother your knees? do you feel like it works on your balance seeing as how there are no bars, just the steps?
I use my mom's when I'm staying at her house. It is a -decent- workout, not as challenging as a full sized stairclimber but perfectly sufficient for getting the HR up.
I would just step on it, using the resistance bands to do exercise I already did with my other set of bands (overhead presses, bicep/tricep curls, standing rows, etc).
I found one, abandoned, outside my dorm on move-out day and took it home. It takes more work than an elliptical to feel much. I usually do 50 minutes on it and feel like I've walked a mile. And my knees do hurt. A LOT. I have problems because of loose joints and this kills my knees and has popped them out of place. My brother uses it too, though, and he doesn't have this problem.
Well, I've been using them for a few days, and if you increase the tension on it, you definitely feel it in your upper legs. It does not take up much room at all. However, the resistance bands were quickly a no-go for me. They just were too distracting for me, so I'm gonna go with dumbells for this. While I have good stability on it, some of my family members didn't, so they had to use a folded up treadmill's bars to hold on to while working out on it.
