Oh Lordy don't panic.
Remember "cheating," and "now the day is shot," or the need to "undo" is all "diet" mentality. You're done with that. South Beach is about following principles, not following yet more "forbidden" and "allowed" lists. It's not a magic spell that is broken by a few grams of HFCS.
What works about South Beach eating is the blood sugar control (I'm not a true Beacher, because I use an exchange plan, but I try to make my choices from South Beach friendly foods, and rarely not so SB friendly foods - like yesterday I had two small ears of sweetcorn as my lunch, and counted them as my starch choices for the day - all of them).
A couple swigs of soda is not going to zonk out your blood sugar if you stay on plan. My two ears of corn didn't either. Though I was a little hungrier, a little sooner at dinner time, I think because of the higher GI of the corn. Better than a slice of cake though, and I stayed on track.
But even the South Beach book, tells you that following SB, doesn't mean never having a piece of cake again - it's about making the best choices, most of the time, and limiting the worst choices to the rare occasion.
