Hi everyone.
I am new to the site. I am just starting my exercise routine to lose weight. I switched to eating organic foods last year and have done great. I havent had mcdonalds in over a year! I have monitored my calorie intake and have been in the 1600-2000 range. I honestly dont know if that is good or bad, but im sure if i ask my sister she will tell me (she's a dieting expert, i swear) Im starting off slow and just walking a mile a day, but i dont know how long i should do that for. So my goal is to lose a lot of weight about 100 lbs. And i am giving myself a year to lose half of my goal weight. wish me luck and success.
Welcome Mel. I gave up fast food too but i do get a salad at burger king occasionally, they are really good! I get the tendergrill, they grill the chicken, and its lots of nice greens with a lil tomato, some shredded cheese, not alot, some lite italian dressing, a few croutons, its the perfect salad! Well it would be better with some fresh cucumbers in it!
Lemme tell you, controlling calories and walking works. I also think it's good you are prepared for the amount of time it is going to take. Use the time it takes to lose the weight to build good habits to maintain the loss.
