So I was picking up some groceries tonight and out of impulse I grabbed a box of butter tarts off the shelf in the bakery. I looked at them for a few seconds, decided I didn't really need them, and then put them back on the shelf. It looks like I'm finally developing some diet willpower.
Those impulses are hard to resist, good for you at taking a second look at them! Imagine the probable pound of butter they're made of... then wrap that around your midsection.... Hmm, not so yummy now!
That's awesome! Just remember this feeling of exercising will power and resisting whenever you are tempted the cheat. Eating bad (but sooo good :P) foods make you feel good temporarily (very temporarily), but in my opinion, that proud feeling of resisting temptation lasts much longer and will make you feel great about yourself.
Thanks, everyone. I've actually made a "scoreboard" out of a dry erase board on my fridge for motivation. Everytime I get the craving/opportunity to do something bad dietwise and I resist I get a point. I'm a visual learner and seeing it laid out should help.

That's a VERY good idea!! Let me know how it works out for you in the long run!
