Default Weekly Chat April 24 - April 30

3lbs down! I jumped on the scale this morning thinking of myself as a glutton for punishment and there it was - 235 lbs!

I was so glad to see it as I was starting to feel discouraged and getting that inner voice telling me "whats the use!?).

Eating has been on track today, although it is only 12.30pm. I have the day off as tomorrow is ANZAC day and I thought I may as well take the long weekend. I think I will take the dogs and kids to the national park down the end of the street today and use that to get in my exercise.

1 week left for the month ladies!

well, i am going to do the ironing and watch Harry Potter. We just bought The Goblet of Fire DVD and I haven't seen it yet.

Talking I'm tired you guys.

I'm awake! ......... i think.

I had only 3 hours of sleep. This whole job thing where i have to get up all early... is going to kill me this week. I wish i lived across the street.

I am taking my workout clothes so i can go for a job at the beach after work, and possibly during lunch. =yawns= My bed looks so good.... soooooo goood.

The president is going to be 10 minutes from my house making a speech about the immigration laws. I can say a bunch of mean things now about him, but I'll zip my lips. I wouldn't be here, if it wasn't for immigrants to be able to get jobs.

congrats daisy. 3lbs is huge. i had some weight loss this weekend, but i'm going to wait a couple days before i move my ticker just to make sure it's not water weight. i'm pretty sure it's not though. well, i worked out saturday and sunday at the gym(usually i have a harder time on the weekends), and played tennis with my bf again on sunday. it's a nice half workout and a way to get sun, but we're both not very good. i see tennis lessons in my future!
today i plan on going to the gym and walking around a bit. have a good day ladies.

Hey, everyone!

Daisy: Congrats on the loss!

trns: I hope your first day goes well. I'm going to have the same problem of getting up early for my new job. I guess I have a week to train! I'm such a night owl.

chicagoposter: Great job of working out this weekend!

spill: You're always so positive and encouraging -- thanks!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

I played softball on Friday night, and our team only lost by one run. This is a HUGE accomplishment! After the game, everyone came over to our condo's clubhouse for a cookout and swimming. We had so much fun. So much fun that it lasted until 6 a.m. Eek! Anyway, my eating or drinking wasn't the best, but it was fun.

The rest of the weekend was quite tame in comparison. Oh, BF and I went and saw "Lucky Number Slevin." We both really liked it. I've always liked Josh Harnett, so it was good to see him in a movie again.

Hope you all have a fabulous week!

Take care,
Jina

Hey ladies. Well my eating the last 3 days was a wreck. Every day i was hundreds of calories over what i should have been eating and now im feeling very guilty. I hate this. I know i need to go work out but im feeling very lazy today. Im going to try and pop in my biggest loser dvd and do that for a little while. I just hope my headache goes away.. I think its from too much sugar and crap this weekend... To top it off, i go to the Dr a few days from now and i know im going to be weighed there.. ugh.. I just wish i had a time machine and could go back a few days and eat better...
Im gonna try to eat really good today and drink a ton of water. WEll, ill check back in later. I hope my day starts to get better because so far its sucking pretty bad lol

Hello

It's day 3 of my structured eating plan. I'm doing good so far, but I know I'm going to be sick of red meat and spinach very very soon... I know this stuff is really good for me, but I don't like it and don't usually eat it... Oh well. I must perservere. And I know I will.

I must must must start looking for a job very seriously. I was all but serious about it last week - i.e. didn't do anything about it. The first two things to do: 1) update resume, 2) call the consultant at the agency. I'll deal with my resume today, and call them tomorrow as it's public holiday here today. And I should do some searching on the internet while I have the computer!

I'm scared and anxious. What if I can't find anything. What if I get several interviews, but nobody wants to hire me? What if I do get a job, but the pay is crap?
I can only work for 3 months for one employer, and my taxes come to 30% of my pay, so those worries aren't unfounded...

Okay, I'll stop whining now.

Just when I make the decision that I'm going to start exercising, my ankle is messed up. I'm not exactly sure what is wrong with it, I'm about to leave to go to the ER right now. I hope it's just a sprain and not a fracture or anything.

Well, i'm going to jump right in here.

We started the Biggest Loser contest at work last week. Today was weigh in day and I'm down 4lbs! Woohoo!! My team lost a total of 8.5lbs this past week. The contest runs from April 17th until June 30th. Nothing like a little friendly competition to keep me motivated.

I exercised along with Crunch PIlates last night, KILLER! Tonight, I don't think i waited long enough after I ate dinner to do it again and 1/2 way through it, i started feeling very ill, so i stopped. I'll wait a tad longer tomorrow before I do another one.. I may do Cardio Pilates tomorrow.

Anyway, so far great information here and you all are great motivation to everyone. That's great!! I'm glad to have found a place to talk about my struggles and successes as well as hear others struggles and successes.

Have a great week!!

Chicago- Congrats on the nonofficial weight loss!

Jdogg- I will definitely have to go see that movie now that I know someone who liked it!

Marineswife- Ug, I hate Dr. weigh ins too, probably everyone does. It's like so suspenseful!!! I always feel so dumb asking if it's accurate but at my old Dr's office the nurse told me it was at least 5 over!!! So it never hurts to ask, haha.

Sushi- Looking for jobs is the worst, it brings out more stress than almost everything, I am sure you'll find something soon.

Teahoney- Sorry to hear about your ankle, that just stinks! Let us know what you find out.

Amb_lyn- That is just great about the loss so far! I love my crunch Pilates too!!!

Well for those of you who do not read my blog or look at my myspace pics here is my most recent pregress pic and my old one...

Tonight I jogged longer than I ever have (I think at least)...I was hoping to do at least 25...and I wasn't dying, so I tried for 30...still was going strong, so I kept going...and made it up to 45 mins! The other day I jogged 28 mins and I thought I was going to die the whole time, and hated every single second of it...I think it was because that was morning jogging...

amb lyn- I wish my work would do the biggest loser! that would rock!
teahoney-let us know how your ankle is! don't let anything keep you from exercising (permanently, not temporary!)
trns- SO JEALOUS of you going to workout on the beach...!!!!!!! I miss the ocean! Being in the land of 10,000 lakes is NOT the same as the ocean in any way!

morning ladies!

well it is ANZAC day here today, so another public holiday. i hope to use the time to go for a long walk today, however it is forecast for rain. i haven't done any exercise for a few days as we have had visitors here for the last 3 nights. that's the only problem with basing my workouts at home - i can't escape to the gym and do a workout. as our house is relatively open plan, i can't shut off the room either.

lockitup- i saw your new pics on your blog - you are looking hot! excellent! i think i might have to put you on my thinspiration photo album

trns - i hope you enjoyed your first day on the job. so exciting!

sushi - holy moly! 30%? good luck finding some work.

amb_lyn - welcome and congrats on your 4lbs. what a great start you have had.

teahoney - i hope your ankle is nothing too serious. keep your chin up and let us know how you went at the dr.
