Default Another what size = what weight question

Alright, I know that there have been a thousand threads like this before but............ what weight do you think a size 8 would be for someone 5' 4"? I know everyone's body type varies, and where they carry their weight varies and their muscle to fat ratio varies, but even so, what weight do you think it might be?

(By the way, right now at 176 I am a size 14!)

Well how much do you usually lose before you change sizes? I am a little taller than you (5'8) and I am 147 and a size 8.....it took about 10 pounds for each size change for me...when I was 175 I was a size 12....so maybe when you are in the 140's you will be a size 8....but congrats on the 96 pounds lost!!!

I can't really answer that question because I'm at 5'7 and i weigh 120 lbs and I'm a size 7/8. I'm also not big boned or anything.

Where do you carry most of your weight? Alot has to do with your hips and butt.

Wow. congrats on the 96 pound loss. That's amazing.

Shrinking, I dont know what to tell you. I am the same height as you, and am around 140-145 and wear a 14 in many things, 12 in a lot of things, some things a 10. I think the last time I wore an 8 I was 125 lbs. But I think I am deformed, because all the comments I have seen on this subject I am the only one who wears the same size that people 30 lbs heavier wear. So you probably will get there at 140. Best of luck, and Im jealous of you for carrying your weight so much better than I! :::insert smiley here :O) :::-- where did my smiley chart go?! I cant find it!

Just goes to show how much it can vary. I am 5'4" too...started around 160 as a size 11/12, now down to 148'ish and fitting into 9's or 30 in jeans. I am borderline scrapping "weight" loss and going more for measurements and fit of clothes because I think they are the real indicators. You can lose 5 pounds and be more jiggly because you may have lost muscle. If your goal is a size 8 then that can be your goal, you don't necessarily need a scale number attached to it.

I'm about your height (5' 3.5") and I think when I was your weight I too was in a size 14. I'm now in a size 6 at 129. I can't remember what weight I was for the in between sizes. Good luck on your continued journey and congrats on the fabulous job you've done so far.

i'm 5'4", about 148lbs, and 8's are tight on me. i think if i get down to 140-143ish, they will fit nicely (this is how it has been in the past). when i say 8's-- i'm thinking Ny&co, limited, etc. also, i have a pretty thick muscular build.

This is how it's working out for me

180s-Mid 170s: Size 14
170: Size 12
160: Size 10
150: Size 8
140: Size 6

Its strange because I am 5'4 168 right now and I wear an 8, I have a small waist though. Im also pretty muscular so I dunno. I weigh tomorrow so I am sure I am a little bit lighter. People always guess I weigh around 140 so.. Im small for my weight. Im just solid. My mom is the same way. At 130lbs she wears a 1
