Could it be caffeine withdrawal? I drink quite a bit of caffeinated drinks and if I don't have one, I get a sort of pressure headache.

I'm not sure then it's strange that your diet and exercising would make you feel that way.

Have you tried doing some research regarding certain foods you might be allergic to? I have a friend who was constantly plagued by headaches and migraines. She finally took it upon herself to figure out what was wrong; she found out that she was allergic to corn syrup and wheat.

She just started really examining her food. Just thought have you added anything new into your diet?

I used to get migraines too. They pretty much stopped after I had my daughter, though. But anyways, how about looking at your stress level. That was a huge part of my headaches. I would also look at your diet. You say you are not much of a caffeine person, but remember caffeine is in a lot of things that we do not even realize. Also, are you eating every few hours and enough, or do you go awhile before eating. Hunger could also be the source.

Good Luck. I would bring it to your doctors attention as well. You could be getting "immune" to your medicine, if there are no other causes. That also happened to me! I had to give my body a break because I was taking the same meds every day.

Have you had your blood sugar levels checked? I knowthat I started getting really bad headaches when I altered my food intake and I came to find out after going to the doc that it was because I had lowered my food intake instead of my caloric intake (ie less bad foods but not new healthy low cal foods to replace what I wasn't eating in bad foods) and this caused my blood sugar to drop and rise throughout the day according to what I ate and it caused the headaches.

Do you drink plenty of water? Try to get at least 64 oz. a day to keep your body hydrated.

I get nasty, persistent headaches when I don't drink enough water. Dehydration does it to me every time.

Well, maybe its becuase i used to eat alot of sugary stuff, not necissarily BAD stuff, but more sweets than i do now.. Now i try to just eat more veggies, fruits, whole wheat stuff. I try to make sure what goes in my mouth is whats best for my body i guess. Maybe i am having sugar withdrawls. i really dont know.. I think im gonna go lay down and take a nap.. I drank a cup of tea hoping maybe the caffeine will help.. It feels like my headache might finally be going away tho..
I think stress might be an issue for me too... My husband is reenlisting to become a recruiter in teh Marines, and we are planning on moving back to CT and statying with my parents for a while and i know its going to be stressful but we really need the money.. Weve been fighting alot because we just bought a new car and now he wants to buy ANOTHER one, and we are just about to get down to one car payment (his current car will be payed off in a few months).. WE agreed that we only wanted one car payment at a time, especially since the new car is more expensive than our last one, and now hes talking about taking on another car payment.. Ugh it so frustrating!
But he pulls the "Well its my money" card, so i also cant wait to get home to get myself a job! (Were waiting for jay to be in preschool). And im gonna buy myself a horse and he can kiss my butt! lol

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has headaches! I think mine are more from Caffine withdrawl, then anything else. It's also the beginning of allergy season though, so I'm getting sinus headaches as well... man they hurt!!!

I totally know the "It's my money" card...my hubby pulls it alot too...pisses me off!!! So I'm going to get myself a job as well, been putting my resume out there. I would love to buy a horse myself! Just have nowhere to put one!

Hope you find a solution to the problems! I hate being an adult sometimes!

Do you also feel kind of lethargic and tired with your headaches? I got that pretty bad earlier in the fall, turned out my blood sugar was going nutso. I wasn't actually eating enough to keep my glucose up, and since the brain thrives on glucose, when it's insufficient it kind of just shuts down. So I agree with (the other) Heather -- maybe look into your glucose levels. A good way to be investigative is to see if your headaches occur at any particular time of day, or after eating any particular kind of food. Mine would always happen almost at 3:30 exactly, it was weird. Anyway, let us know what happens!

i get headaches on a regular basis. usually two to three times a week. i found that regularly going to a chiropractor helped immensly.

having said that i haven't really had a proper headache this week. i think that exercising and getting more water in is helping with the problem.

heather, i would check your blood sugar levels first. have you felt light headed? dizzy? problems with your vision? they can all be symptoms. see your doctor to confirm it.

also, as you increase your exercise, give yourself an increase in calories. you can't exercise twice as much as previously and expect to be able to survive on the same calories. a friend at work recently started exercising in the morning as well as the evening and kept herself on the same caloric intake (she does WW) and another contributor is that she has sugar substitutes (ie, nutrisweet). she was at work one morning and just plain could not focus on anything. turned out she had low blood sugar and was sent home with a bag of jelly beans.

finally, i suggest a chiropractor. when i went to mine for the first time, after x-rays he asked me if i had ever had a car accident. *touch wood* i haven't and told him so. he told me that my vertebrae in my neck looked like the result of an accident perhaps with whiplash that had gone untreated. he said it looked like 15 years of damage. i can only put it down to something i did as a kid. anyway, you never know what is going on and trust me when i say that if your vertabrae are out of whack, the rest of your nervous system will be too. perhaps just get it checked out.
