Ugh, my sister and her husband (and their 10 week old baby!) just found out the house they are renting/in the process of buying has mold! The entire attic was full of it and there's some in the bathroom walls. The wood had become soaked along with all the insulation. My sister has been having a horrible sore throat and she's afraid the baby is going to be sick too from it. They had an inspector come out today to see how bad the damage is. Pretty scary. You can get all kinds of problems from breathing that in :(

I was bad! I made strawberry pretzel salad. It's soooo good though. I did use cool whip free and low fat cream cheese but it still adds up quick! Maybe I should just eat the thing and have it gone

Mm, that sounds good... despite how bad it might be :p

We have a bit of a mold problem here, but we're just renting the house so every couple of weeks we scrub down the walls in the foyer and bathroom with bleach.. Then at least you can't *see* it. I know there are certain kinds of molds which can actually be deadly... Saw some weird forensic science show on it once... Otherwise prolonged exposure to mold certainly can't be good! I hope they get the problem all sorted out!!

trns - hope you feel better soon  . BTW love your new avatar :D

i went and bought a calorie counter book yesterday. finally.

so now i just have to sit down this morning and work out what we shall be eating this week and do some shopping and then some serious housecleaning and then going for a walk in the national park (down the road) with the doggies.

we just finished our first week of the biggest loser in australia. they are doing it monday to friday for 30mins each night. i am so addicted! they actually climbed the sydney harbour bridge for their first challenge (not one to start lightly :) ) and they got up there within 12 minutes. considering one team had a girl afraid of heights and the other team had a 197kg man (he is huge!) on their team, they did so well. anyway they had their weigh in last night and no-one lost less than 6kg and the most lost was 15kg :o holy geez!

they have a competition on the website for a 12month gym membership, platinum, for yourself and a friend and i am entering in for OH and me. that would be great. i hope i can get it *fingers crossed*

have a great day everyone

i did it! finally got some bloody exercise in. went for a 5km walk and took just about 60 mins. poor little doggies didn't know what hit them.

i was starving this afternoon - here's one for you lockitup - i could have eaten the crotch out of a low flying duck! (bit gross i know, but it is a fav of OH's

feel so good for doing some exercise

LockItUp 02-18-2006 11:01 AM

Daisy - That cracked me up :lol3: Oh man!!!

I went out with one of my friends last night and we had Greek food. We decided to talk in accents all night. She did southern and I did english. It was so much fun!!!

angeleyezx 02-18-2006 01:54 PM

Hey LockItUp, how was ur accent weneva Im in tx most wanna 'show' me their english accents, and it's never gd

:)

LockItUp 02-18-2006 03:27 PM

First off, since I am not from Texas I speak normally to begin with,:D hahaha. It's a pretty good accent I think, I've practiced a lot. I am sure that I don't have the lingo down, but it's good enough to fool all the Americans anyway(which probably isn't saying much).

Daisy Boo - Hhaahaahahahhaah.. TOO funny!

YAY! my ticker moved down another pound....

britomart 02-18-2006 05:12 PM

I'm originally from Mississippi, so all the Canadians love it when I do my super-exaggerated Southern accent. There's one girl who almost pees herself every time I do it...

Daisy Boo 02-18-2006 08:02 PM

;) glad you liked the term. i seriously was so hungry last night. i nearly came back on a couple of hours after posting to say i was still hungry! it can't possibly have just been because of walking

i ended up having a WW ice cream and watched Mr and Mrs Smith (loved it!) instead of gorging myself on grilled cheese.

and believe it or not, my scale has gone down to 105.1! How in the world? :?: oh well, i am not complaining (secretly :dancer: !)

its fun talking in accents. my mother is english and my father grew up in new zealand and i tend to get either a really strong english accent or a really strong new zealand accent when i drink. i wouldn't dream of being able to do a southern accent - it would be horrific. my indian accent is one to be locked up forever and never, ever see daylight again :p

congrats on the loss trns!

Since I've moved to Texas I've definitely picked up the accent a little bit (it drives my boyfriend nuts because he hates the southern twang!) but on New Years I kept telling this guy I met "yah breakin' mah heart" and he told my friend the next day that he LOVED my texas accent, it reminded him of his ex! lol too bad I am a northerner at heart
