Default MP3 Players

I was thinking about asking for one for my birthday and I hope you don't mind but I was wondering what kind you have, how many songs it holds and where you got it. I don't want my husband to spend a bunch of money on one, but I want to get my moneys worth. Thanks for any advice.

My fiance got me an ipod mini last year. It holds 1000 songs, but I have never filled it past 600, every time I find new songs I erase some songs off that I can't for the life of me why I like it! I love that I can make playlists on it! It's the best gift I've ever gotten actually!

I got myself a 60 GB photo ipod after getting my lover a 40GB ipod a year earlier for his birthday.

Mine hold PLENTY of songs, i have yet to fill it all the way up and i have a HUGE collection. I would recommend going with an older model ipod that they are still trying to get rid of ... they are now abou 50-100 dollars cheaper. Try macmall.com ....

I have an ipod shuffle - about $100 bucks - holds a couple hundred songs (more than I'd ever need). I like it.

A couple hundred songs is A LOT!!! Plenty. I have a regular ipod and it holds like a week or more worth of songs! I have been filling it up for a year now and still have it at only like 10% capacity.
Also, my old mp3 was a rio (about $60 i think) which was good because it has chips that you can change. So though a chip can only hold 2-6+ hrs, you can have a bunch of chips and change them in and out of the player.

There's an Ipod Nano from my fiance waiting under the christmas tree for me. I've never had an Ipod so it's glad to hear that so many people love theirs.
