Default NSV - Non-Scale Victories

I was reading where someone had an NSV thread in another forum (WW something?) and was thinking that it would be a nice thing to have here, as well.

Especially since I just pigged out at the free work lunch, and I could use a little boost from reading about other peoples' victories.

I have one!

I went out for pizza, but beforehand I went to the restaurant's website and checked out the calorie content of the different types. I wanted to take some home with me, so I decided to get a small hawaiian pizza and eat half and take half home. I decided to be a good little dieter and ask the server to box half up before it even got to the table, but she wouldn't! She looked at me like I was crazy. So the whole pizza came but I still only ate half of it! That was a big accomplishment because I looooove pizza!

Well done! I've been really annoying about going out lately b/c I never want to 'wing it' anymore! I want to know exactly where we're going so that I can check it out and already know what I'm going to get.
Great job on boxing half of your meal.

Great job everyone!

I'm able to wear a size medium now! I am so used to looking for a large or an extra large, that it feels so strange to be able to pick up a medium and know that it will fit (in most cases).

Hehe I've had that happen! I used to be a 20.. went school shopping with a friend and i tried on size 16s and they fit, which shocked me because at the time I wasn't trying to lose weight. I was so thrilled.

I'm not sure if this counts, but recently I got together with a friend I haven't seen in a while, and the first thing she said when she saw me was "oh my god you've lost weight!"

MARVEL AT THE DANCING CARROT!!! wow that has nothing to do with anything, but I have a short attention span and I am so easily amused...

Great job everyone! I love reading about these accomplishments.

Here's my favorite NSV:

I had to get my wedding ring re-sized because I'd lost weight and it kept sliding off.

LOL I love the dancing carrot!
A recent NSV...I hadn't been doing a lot of ab workouts in the past few weeks so this week I have been making an effort to fit in about 15 mins/day....and i can actually feel the difference! WOW I never thought I would be able to feel my ab muscles! (now seeing them is what i have to work on next )

I look in the mirror and I can see my body firming up. Slowly, but it is and it is the greatest feeling in the world!!! My jeans are fitting loosely and I love it!

Managed to dance in high heels (very high!) for 3 hours compared to walking for 10 mins in them last time I wore them!

I also managed a good can can along the street in them without falling over!

This morning I pulled some old pants out of the shelves (that did fit, even at a higher weight, but I forgot about them) and put them on for work.

They are totally loose, and I need a belt but didn't grab one so now I keep having to pull my pants up.

They're even loose around my LEGS which is a huge step for me.
