Default I Have a Confession.....

Ok, Here goes nothing. I found this place back in May or june, LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! My dad bought my a gym membership on mothers day as a gift, and I love love loved it also. BUT along the way, I would cheat here and there, with fast food, never did well on portion control, and my drinking was not good either. NOW it is the end of the month of sept. THE WROST month BY FAR! I have not excercised since well, about.. hmm... sept. 1st!! Ic annot believe myself! I am soo ashamed. I have gained a lil back, not much <going by the way my clothes fit> but I have been eating so healthy latly! so even without the excercising I have began to eat even more healthy than before, which is NO EXCUSE not to be excercising! so I failed this whole month. I feel like such a moo . Now that I have confessed I feel a little better. I feel as though it is a new day, so therefore I can start over! I just wanted needed to write this down so I can stop lying to myself. Sorry for the rant.. but whew....I feel better....

You can do it girl! Just jump right back on that lil' ol' pony! If it makes you feel any better, I have only exercised 4 times this month...so you're not alone. Alcohol is a naughty, naughty, no good thing...and if it hadn't been for the phentermine I was on (up until a week ago) I would have been right there with you on the drinking thing. We had a speaker at my ministry training class the other night who was talking about the difference between goals and intentions. He said that the only way to accomplish anything is to look at your real intentions...which can sometimes conflict with one another. See, it is my intention to lose weight, but at the same time I do not Want to exert any real physical effort. So that would lead me to the conclusion that it is also my INTENTION to not put myself through any strenuous activities. The intention that wins out will always be the bigger one. Obviously, it is more important to me that I do not exert myself, otherwise I would have gone out for a jog this morning. He said that the only way to make your goal your intention is to take a risk. For example, promise someone that if you don't exercise 4 days this coming week that you will come over and clean their house...top to bottom (or something similarly disturbing). The risk alone will cause that goal to then become your intention.

Here, I'll start. I will complete 3 hours of cardio and 3 sessions of strength training next week, and will truthfully report my progress. If I fail to accomplish this, I will take an embarassing photo of myself (big gut and all) and post it on the board for all to giggle at.

Now my goal of exercise has become my intention. Try it!

JustForUs -- I am so with you on getting back to exercising! September kind of sucked for me too, too much laziness and too much eating. Yesterday I tried to do the speed training workout I'd been doing in August and I couldn't do it! I hope joining the October challenge will keep me accountable!!

I would like to sign my name to Slackin in September list as well.

I just got off track, and it is really easy to do. I am reassessing what and why this happened so I can prevent it in October.

I also think I was way overwhelmed with schoolwork and allowed that to become my excuse to go home and get in my bed and watch t.v. when I could have been unwinding at the gym. Probably another reason was that I didn't make myself accountable, I quit coming on here and posting, so I got away from being more strict with myself because of this.
This ends my confession.

So let's get crackin in October and maybe even make up for being off in September.

We can do this!

I'm in the group to. my september was a bust. I stoped working out totally. I was busy and used that as an excuse. I sighned up for the 5K that I had been training for all summer and in August could have done it easy but now since I had be slacking, I had to stop and walk a few time. ahhh, but now I'm back on the horse and I've jogged 3 mornings.
Here is to a better October! YOu can do it, we all can.

I'm in the September slacker group, too. Just a terrible month food-wise and exercise-wise. I let my busy travel schedule interfere way too much. Don't worry, JustForUs, we all have down/off times. The best thing we can do is gear up and get right back on track. Good luck to all of us!
