Question Hold on a sec.. is this right???

Ok here I am again ladies, with more questions!

Just for fun, I stepped onto my scale today, to see that it said 205! 5 lbs lost, according to it.. but I'm wondering, is the scale screwed up? I mean, I have been watching my calories (1600, but I usually don't even get close to that) and exercising a bit more than walking, but still.. I didn't think it would be comming off this fast?! (I have been doing this, after all, maybe a week and a half...)

So my question is, before I get all excited, is this realy me losing, or is my scale just screwed up??

If you got your starting number from that scale than it probably is right. Sometimes at first the weight comes off pretty fast. I just started last Monday, and I have lost around 5 pounds already. It's exciting huh?!?! Good motivation too. Starting out is the best because water weight comes off along with fat making the scale move faster than it will later. Keep goin'!!!

I can say that before I started counting my calories I noticed it was a little harder for that weight to come off. When you really become aware of the calories you're taking in and make sure you stay under a certain number you are more than likely going to lose weight. I think it takes over 2000 cals a day to maintain weight, and it takes another 2000 beyond that to gain a pound. Don't worry, you're doing good. I should warn you though, if you start strength training with weights you may put weight on, good weight!

Congrats on the weight loss, Fae! Weight does come off easier at first. Keep up the good work!
