I love those shows too! I am a reality TV addict too, during the regular season I will watch Amazing Race, Survivor, America's Next Top Model, American Idol (I'm watching So You Think You Can Dance too), and whatever else happens to be on (What Not to Wear, Nanny 911, Trading Spouses, etc). Oh, I've been watching Brat Camp too, what a weird show. It's kind of hard to believe that these kids are really opening up and having breakthroughs with cameras shoved in their faces the whole time. If they are, then I feel bad for them, because when all their friends see this show they will be teased mercilessly (especially with their "Earth Names" or whatever, which I have to say are super-cheesy). I also find it hard to believe that a troubled teen would take anyone with a name like "Mountain Wind" seriously.
I am such a TV addict, it's really bad. The Food Network and the Travel Channel are some of my faves too!
Jenna, I know what you mean about meat. I am picky about my meat too, though I've gotten less so over the years. I only prepare chicken and ground turkey at home because I don't think I could prepare red meat properly! I cook fish, but if it's not salmon or catfish I'll probably screw it up. ;) I will definitely eat steak if we are at a restaurant though, but I can't stand it if it has those char-broiled lines on it (like I really want to eat something that tastes like coal and burned meat? ew!). Prime rib is my fave! I did have one time a while ago when I was halfway through eating a big piece of prime rib and I suddenly thought "OMG I am eating a cow" and got totally grossed out.
My pickiest food/meat thing is that I cannot eat something if it looks the same as it did when it was alive. This means fish that are cooked whole, shrimp/lobster/crab, or any shellfish that are still in the shell (I'll eat scallops, or clamcakes, but don't ask me to eat anything where I have to remove the shell myself). I haven't really had anyone ever serve me a whole other animal before, so I have no problem with poultry and meat. I bet if someone gave me a hog's head, I would be too grossed out to even look at it though! I have always said, if I ever have to kill my own meat, I will become a vegetarian. I think I could probably handle fishing, but plucking a chicken? Slaughtering a cow? Ugh, I could not do it. I am one of those spoiled city children who like to pretend meat comes from the grocery store, not from real animals.
Is anyone else grossed out by these new "chicken fries" that Burger King is advertizing? The commercial makes me feel sick. Ew!
