Default What if i am plateauing???

I am 5'4 and weigh 121 lbs, but I am trying to get to where I was in the beginning of the year at 118 (I gain weight in my stomach so you can see every extra pound I gain right there). To lose those last few pounds I have been trying to be a little bit stricter and decrease the amount of carbs and fruit in my diet but I have been staying at 121 for about a month now WHAT DO I DO I AM ANNOYED!?!?!? I can't pick up the exercise because I already work out for an hour a day...

You don't have to necessarily ADD exercise--just try changing your routine. Our bodies get used to the same things each week and get comfortable as they are, so you need to mix it up a bit. If you're doing weights, try some different machines or freeweights instead of machines. If your cardio is all on the treadmill, try the elliptical or a bike for a change of pace. Keep your body awake--it will notice the changes and react accordingly

Also, if you're exercising for an hour a day, are you taking in ENOUGH calories? Varying your caloric intake may also help you to shift your metabolism back into gear. Good luck!

I would agree, changing up your routine might help. Are you already doing weights as well as cardio? Adding intervals to your cardio? These things have really helped me. Good luck!

I have also been on a plateau for a week now and it is driving me nuts. I have been doing the GI diet and doing very well. I started on 6/25 and have lost 13 1/2 pounds so far but i am thinking of starting some aerobics classes to maybe help me get off this plateau i have been bouncing up and down one pound and it is driving me insane. I usually walk and i think i will start the aerobics to kind of mix it up a little. Good idea ladies.
