Default Weekly Weigh-In 6/24

Weigh in on whatever day is your normal day, and post it here! (If you want, of course, it's not compulsory. )

I'm at 145 this week, which is down 1 lb from my official weigh-in last week. Yay! Also, at 145, I am officially no longer overweight according to BMI. Barely. Woohoo! I still feel fat though, oh well.

Way to go!
I am still at 152 which is better than gaining but I was really hoping for a loss before I go back home for the 4th of July. I know it's terrible but a friend of mine has lost 50lbs since Christmas when I saw her last and I want to be skinnier! But I still have a week so it is still possible. Too bad I am going to Austin this weekend with the BF and will be tempted by nights on 6th St and amazing margaritas. I will be strong! And work out at the hotel gym.

Lizzbabe, I know what you mean about other people losing making you want to lose! I read the success stories forum a lot, and there are people posting there who have lost 60 or 70 lbs since January, and I am like, well, I've been at it since last August but I have only lost 40! I just tell myself, the slower you lose, the more likely you are to keep it off.

Have fun in Austin!

I will be weighing in twice a week, once Sunday and then again on Wednesday. This keeps me from peeking at the scale constantly!

Anyways, I'm down 2.5 to 180.5.

Great job everybody! My weight loss has come to a HUGE standstill. I am still at 169. I am still having my TOM though and it's SO hot I may be retaining water but still, it sucks. I would really like to be in the very low 160s (preferably 159) by the end of July which is totally doable for normal people but not for me it seems. SO this week I am OFF diet soda...only water for me. I'm going to add an extra 1/2 hour to hour of exercise 3X and do some weights the other 3X. I will TRY to keep my sodium and processed foods to a minimum and my calories between 1400 and 1600. We'll see what happens. I've been trying to stick with 1600 for the past month and it's getting me nowhere fast. So we'll try to change it up a bit. I'm also going to try to be more diligent about getting my fiber, even if I have to take a supplement.

Great work ladies! Keep it up!!

Amber

Amber - don't give up girl! Once your body has time to adjust to it's new weight, it'll start losing again. Keep going!

I'm 212 today which is .5 up from last week.

My thoughts:
1- The weekend was a bust, and I maybe I'm starting to realize that I can't have two "off days" a WEEK and expect to make quick progress.

2- I think I remember reading something in one of Bob Greene's books that said sometimes around the 3rd or 4th week of a new exercises program the body starts to need more water and so it starts to retain more. Eventually the body gets used to all the new things happening to it and the water retention goes back to normal. This is my 3rd week, so thats around right.

3- (Besides this past weekend) I feel like I'm on the right track, finally. I'm not going to give up because the scale doesn't say exactly what I want it to because sooner or later, it will!!

Grr I am showing 1 lb up but I think it might be due to TOM as well. Since I haven't gotten my period in like 6 months I guess I can't complain too much but apparently starting the pill again kicked my hormones into gear. We will see if the weight drops again when I'm done.

Down 2 pounds from last Friday! I was kind of stalled at 150-149 for most of the week which was a bummer, but yesterday I spent 5 hours at ikea, shopping like a madwoman and stressing out, so that probably helped as far as my work out regimen is concerned. Hee. Checked the scale this morning and it was at 148. Can't believe I'm in the 140s. Yay!
