Late starting this thread again . . .

Did everyone have a good Memorial Day? Not too much grilling?

I just had one of those OMG moments where I looked at my weight tracker after posting something, saw "148" and thought "OMG, am I seriously 148??" Also, seeing that I've lost almost 40 lbs (not quite 40 yet!) kind of hit me. Nobody I talk to has noticed that I've lost weight at all (I guess because I see them every day), so it seems like I haven't gotten much smaller, but then I realize that I'm wearing size 10 jeans, which I haven't been able to do since about 10th grade. That and after seeing how many of the inspirational ladies on these forums have lost a hundred pounds or more, my 40 lbs seems pretty darn puny!

Thanks everyone! We'll see how well I hold up this weekend -- I'm taking a 4-day weekend and I have two friends visiting (one Fri-Sat and one Sun-Mon), so I know I will be going out a lot (and one of my friends says he absolutely must try a New York System Hot Weiner -- popular local food around here that I haven't tried yet -- which I'm sure is about five million calories).

Here's a question for you all. Since eating healthy is a lifestyle change, not just a diet, what do you do when you hit goal weight? Like, what will make you stop losing, if you keep eating the same healthy food? The only thing I can think is that maybe when I hit goal weight, I will allow myself to eat more cheese!

40 lbs and no one has said anything????!?!?! Trust me, they've noticed. The difference between 185 and one 145 is HUGE - there's no way no one could tell. Congrats to you - 40 lbs. is a big deal and you are doing awesome.
Also, there is a maintainer's forum here with a bunch of great women there - very helpful, some have been in maintence for 4+ years I think.
