Default Weigh In=Freak Out

Ok,
so every saturday I get totally freaked out that my WI sunday moring will go bad. I try to eat as light as possible so there won't be much food in my system, I'll take a water pill if I feel the least bit bloated and I get scared to even go then I get there and like today, I lost again. so all week I was really good. I knew this yet I still get the WI freak out feeling. Does this happen to any one else.

for people it doesn't happen to, how do you do it. I wish I could just go get weighed in and not even worry but I can't ahhhhh!!!

I'm trying to get over my scale addiction so I am only letting my self weigh at home on Wed. and Fri. I tried cold turkey but it was to hard. But twice a week is better than the like 10 times a day I was doing it.

I just want to lose so bad that the number really means a lot to me right now.

Jennie, I totally know what you are talking about. I go to a Monday night meeting at 7:30 pm, so I would always not eat all day long except for a light breakfast on Mondays and not drink anything after 3:00 so that I wouldn't gain water weight. It took a long time for me to realize that this was excessive: the number on the scale at WW was only a REPRESENTATION of my weight loss, not a proof of it. The proof of it was the fact that my jeans were hanging off my waist, lol! The lady who weighed me in even commented on it one week, she was like, "Sarah, I think you seriously need to consider coming down a pant size. Or five."

Anyway, the point is that while it is tempting to plan your eating around your weigh in, you should remember that if you weigh less because you denied yourself food the day before, it isn't really true weight loss, it's just an empty stomach, and you want to weigh less because you're losing body fat. That kind of weight loss should only be accomplished the healthy way... I'm not saying go crazy the day before you weigh in, just follow your diet as if it was a normal day, you know?

And I totally relate when it comes to obsessive weighing... I weigh myself every morning, religiously, always have, even at my heaviest when I was devouring whole boxes of Hostess cupcakes in one sitting. Old habits die hard, I suppose.
