    Today, I gave up on men and adopted a kitten. :P
  • Astronaut - That is funny as h3ll!!! LMBO

    Ballerina - I know how you feel, I was feeling the same way a few months back . You will meet someone, in the mean time you are just ducking the idiots

    JMKO - Agreed. No I didnt get a weekday off....I worked 6 days this week. BUT i am happy for OT and it made it easy to stay OP. I know what you mean about weighing everday. I cant pass a scale without stepping on it. I am sort of glad my scale isnt digital at home because I was waaaaay worse. You are doing so good. Congrats on 160!!!! That is such a beautiful number (in my life anyway LOL)

    Fattitude - How did your 5K go? I love running in costumes! I was a fairy in my last race. I think your system of making weight loss goals is very productive! congrats on meeting it this week.

    I am wearing my fave jeans today!!!!!! and i didnt have to force zip them!!!!! i am so excited. Finally the weight is coming off I unofficially weighed in and I am down
  • Good morning! After about a week with internet problems, I'm finally baaack!

    SoMuch ~ Wow thinking about losing over a third of yourself is just crazy! Hope the 5k was fun! That definitely sounds like one I'd participate in. Dress like crazy aaand exercise? Yes please!

    jmko ~ I have to ask, because well...I can't do it, but how do you manage to intake so much water? Hahaha, I mean dang...I knew water intake has always been an issue for me, but I have a veryvery hard time hitting 8 oz 8x a day, let alone even try hitting triple digits. Nice to see that Medifast is working so well for you though!

    Ballerina ~ Story of my life! But don't worry, we will find great guys. It just takes a bit more time. No seriously though, I'm like the only single female out of my friends.

    Astronaut ~ Wish I could turn to a pet! I think my dog's just as bad to turn to compared to a guy!

    CakeBatter ~ Congrats on the weight going down! Nice mini goal on the fave pair of jeans! I have a similar goal I'd like to aim for!

    Ah man, this past week was very...not so pretty with my eating habits. That said, I'm glad come this morning's weigh-in, I registered a loss. Too much eating out, too much sodium. I guess on certain days it can't be helped, but I actually had to tell one of my best friends that I can't go out until I meet my Halloween goal.

    That said, I broke out of the 160s today! Scale read 159.4. Let's keep this trend going! 159 was my original Halloween goal! Now that weigh-in is taken care of, time for some pb & j oatmeal.
  • Monday
    OK, Ladies

    I believe I am officially on track. I packed lunch breakfast and snacks for the entire day. I have found that flax seeds really do wonders for me if you know what I mean. I plan to cook my bulk vegetables tonight. I have some broccoli and asparagus that have been in the fridge for over week and I must cook them tonight. So broccoli, asparagus, green beans w/potatoes, rice.

    1. Turbo Fire 4x this week
    2. 5000+ steps every day
    3. No sodas (including diet)
    4. No red meat

    I new guy has really got me off track unfortunately and I’m not blaming it on him its totally my fault for not staying focus. I am determined to lose at least 3lb by next Monday. I’m so tired of searching for the perfect heart rate monitor. The one I bought last week doesn’t constantly count my steps as I thought which makes it not worth $70 in my opinion. Its cute and stylish, looks like a regular watch. UGHHH, I really may just cave in and buy the bodybugg or fitbit. I wouldn’t be so persistent but when I can see how many calories I've burned according to my heart rate, I’m so much more likely to work harder and that really counts when doing Turbo Fire. Ok enough of my rambling

    Quiet- I know the feeling, I feel left behind sometimes, but I still have faith that my guy is out there!

    Cakebatter- girl you motivate me. Congrats!

    jmko-I know is so hard not to just step on the darn thing.
  • Happy Monday.

    --------

    jmko - congrats on your "whoosh" moment!

    Quiet Ballerina - that reminded of my bff who has started deleting people from facebook when they make a post about engagements/weddings/babies.

    CakeBatter - It went great! It was stupid hilly, but fun! I wore my ridiculous outfit, too!

    Atarimae - Yeah - that just doesn't seem realistic to me. lol. Oh sodium....

    lisa34t - Woohoo to being back on track!!

    -------

    Our 5k was awesome and we had a blast. I did my PR! I was hoping to do it in under 40, so only being 23 seconds off isn't too bad. Unfortunately, my eating/drinking went to he|| this weekend, too. Boy oh boy. And the scale sure showed it this morning. My rings were snug, which means I'm super bloated. And I'm PMSing... oh scale - you so silly.

    I probably wont see my weekly goal this week, but life happens! And the next couple of weekends will probably be a wash, too. My birthday, my husbands birthday, our anniversary... Again, life happens. I'm thinking long term, not short term.
  • ballerina: I feel like that, too. After all the drama my bf and I are no closer to getting engaged than if I were single. Keep hoping though!

    astronaut: I love that! hahaha

    cake: congrats and getting your fav jeans on!! Isn't it the best feeling? My work pants finally started fitting again to the point where I can actually button all 3 buttons and not just 2, haha!

    atarimae: I never used to be able to drink water. And to be honest, I don't do nearly enough on the weekends. I went to target and bought at 56 oz water bottle (it's by the saran wrap and stuff) and pretty much sit and sip water at my desk all day. And I mean all day. I set goals like one bottle by 10:30, 2nd bottle by 2:30, last bottle by 5. And just chug my way through it. Then have a bunch of water when I get home. Totally works and keeps me full throughout the day. Congrats on breaking into the 150s!!!

    lisa: whenever you talk about turbofire it makes me want to get it!!!!! AH!!! I may just cave soon.

    SoMuch: So glad your 5K went well! I give you so much credit! I would die doing something like that!

    So after a HORRENDOUS weekend with the bf of constant fighting, I am exhausted. In the end, we seem to be okay, but only because the wedding was Saturday. He said he'd be home around 9, and he didn't get home until about 11, and didn't call. It just irritated me. Needless to say we got into when he got home. Oh well. Hopefully things clear up.

    I have decided that I can't keep any of the kittens. They're so attached to their mom and the mom is so attached to them that I'm afraid if I keep any, mama cat will hang around my house forever. Definitely don't want that. I need to find these babies good homes.

    Okay, so I have also officially decided that my official weigh-in day will be Tuesdays and NOT mondays. I just can't get enough water in on the weekends so it really reflects on the scale on Mondays. I know, it's like cheating, but hey, why not?
  • Artarimae: WTG on the Halloween goal!! That is so awesome. What are you going to be for Halloween??

    JMKO
    - there is nothing wrong with that! Weigh in on Tuesdays if you want...its the same time each week. I have a hard time with water on the weekends too!

    Lisa34t- Thank you! WTG togo being OP today. ITs so much easier when things are all planned out. I did the same thing with BF we started dating and watching what went on my plate stopped. We were always going out and stuff. I had to finally say "HEY I'm gonna fat! I can't keep doing this" LOL

    Fattitude
    - Great outlook. Its a lifestyle you know.. Where are the pics missy???!!!!
    `````````````````````````````````````````````````` ``````````````
    So today is Weigh in day...although I have been 100% on plan and got at least 5 exercise days in I dont think it will be that good. My pants are looser (from my weight lifting) but I do not think I lost actual weight. But I am going to be happy no matter...my next goal is when I have lost 8lbs to buy a pair of Levis. I know this seems silly but my BF has been trying to buy some and I wont let him because I dont want to purchase at this size...I know its all mental. But whatever...make me work harder.
  • Jmko- I really love it, after I do a video I feel so impowered. Plus the fact that im on a payment plan to pay for it, im reminded every month to not let it go to waste.
    cake-yes that type of mind motivation works on me as well.
    SoMuch- yes think long term- for long term benefits!!!!!!!!!!
    Well, I didnt do my veggies last night but I didnt let that stop me today, cooked a big pot of green beans while me and the lil one got dressed this morning. Grabbed a lean cusine and grabbed some green beans ...whala lunch under 400 cal. I been going so much this morning all I had was grapes and cheese for breakfast.
  • cake: I feel the same way about clothes shopping. It's like, I really, really want to, but it does't make sense to do it now or else the clothes won't fit later! AAAANNNDD I want the tag to reflect a smaller number. I used to cut all my tags off when I wore larges thinking that I'd feel less bad.
    lisa: great job on eating healthy today! how'd you make your beans?
    Okay sooooooooooooo, today is my new weigh in day! 159.8!! Which means I have officially lost 10 pounds!!! 3 weeks and 10 pounds isn't too bad, I say!!! I'm so excited!! One of my best friends is getting married the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I'd love to lose another 10 pounds by then. I think I can do it!!
  • Hey guys. Thanks for the luck. I definitely need some rest. I have never in my life had undereye circles and I noticed some today.I have my last midterm in the morning. And it's a big bad effer. If it were a person I would punch it in it's neck. College algebra. I am so stressed that I have cried like 4 times today. I honestly don't know how I am going to get through this and pass my other classes. I haven't really worked out in over a month because I have to spend so much freaking time doing this and it is def making me moody. I don't know how to pass this class. How can you test into something and then go in and not understand it AT ALL?!
    On a happier note, my bf is taking me on a surprise date. He has given the hints that they have alcohol (he said he would be surprised if I wasn't atleast tipsy). They make their own products. And be a little dressed up.
    On a scary note. I was standing at the top of the steps my with baby brother today talking and he tried to lean against the wall and he fell down the 15 wooden stairs to the landing. Oh my god I almost had a heart attack. He cried but other than that he seemed ok. When he got in the bath later he was inspected. He has a huge knot on his thigh and knots on every one of his ribs on his back/right side.
    If anyone has tips on how to get through this class and stay sane/ making room for workouts. I would very much appreciate them!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Bea - Dam you ARE stressed. When I was taking college algebra over the summer I thought it was going to KILL me. But I made out with an A- ...still do not know how I pulled that off. I am so glad your baby brother is okay. Poor baby.
    JMKO
    - You lucky duck! Great Job young lady! although my official weigh in on Tuesday was only 1.4 I knew my body felt funky so I didnt let it bother me. I know my next WI wil show better results...i think i was bloated or something
    Lisa34t - Awesome! Show unplanned meals who is boss! HAHA...i'm corny but that is really how I feel when I win the battle of meal planning.
    `````````````````````````````````````````````````` ```````````````
    I hate my office because every single day they bring pastries, cookies and cake for no reason at all. And I am serious...EVERY DAY. I have not broken down once over the past three weeks and I am proud of myself because I got on the scale this morning and I am down 2 pounds from my official weigh in! GO ME! My pants are getting so loose. On the bright side I wont have to deal with it much longer because I am being transferred to San Diego for two months! hellz yea! Oh and on another note I will be breaking 100lb squats by next week....STOKED
  • jmko- have about 4 bags of pintos and i need to get rid of them. But I plan to just let the soak over night and then throw then in the crockpot while at work tomorrow. Ill chop up some onion and bell pepper really fine and throw them in as well. They should be done when I get home.

    hawkins I hated algebra, too. But I have never been good at math, never been a strong subject....but some kind of way I have an accounting degree...crazy but I can deal with regular number but slopes, powers and crap. If i got threw it you will too! And CONGRATS, 10lb in 3 weeks is awesome!

    Im eating well but not exercising and one with out the other is almost useless. Im having a hard time getting my grove back.
  • bea: I used to feel like that when I was in school. It was terrible, I hated it!! But after I had my cry, I was determined to beat it! I actually ended up finishing 2 semesters early and graduated with honors. It was a rough road, but I'm glad I stuck with it! I would try to set out an hour to jog around the neighborhood, or walk, even. Use it as a break from studying and as a stress reliever. Your workouts don't have to be intense, as long as you get some kind of movement in. How much longer do you have? I'm glad your brother is okay, too!

    cake: Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee toooooooooooooooo! There's always some kind of cupcakes, cake, pasteries, or candy in our office!!! It drives me crazy!!! It sits in our lounge and I have to go in there to wash my dishes. But I haven't given in! I'm so proud, but everything looks so good! Ugh. I'm glad you're still losing!!

    lisa: One is better than none. It's more effective than eating fast food and not exercising.

    I guess everyone is a little busy right now with work, life, and school. Nothing much going on here. I have to go to Maui next week for work and I'll be gone 6 days. I'm a little nervous because I'll actually be operating one of my programs and I'm afraid I won't be able to get all my water in. *sigh* Hopefully I can stick with it and it won't be too bad.

    On another note, one of the girls I work with is driving me crazy. She treats me like her assistant and I absolutely hate it! It's driving me to the point where I want to quit. I know it's not worth it to let her get to me but I almost can't handle it anymore! Most days I want to throw something at her face. I guess I should play nice, though.
  • Happy Friday...I never thought the day would come. Hasn't this week taken FOREVER?!

    jmko - Hope things are going better between you and the boyfriend. Have fun in Maui - work or not, traveling is fun. At least it is for me. lol

    CakeBatter - Only one pic was taken and boy oh boy - not flattering. LOL! Congrats on the transfer!

    beahawkins - EEEE! So sorry to hear about your baby brother. How scary! I wish I could offer you advice - I worked a 40 hour week and went to school full time and never worked out and definitely went crazy. Details on the surprise date!

    lisa34t - Hang in there!!! Diet is for weight loss and exercise is for fitness!

    ---------

    I've managed to contract some terrible head cold/virus that's going around from my dear friend at the 5k that was coughing and hacking that day. She assures me it only lasts 3 1/2 days - well, today is day 3 and I feel no better. On top of it - DH has it and well, we all know how men are when they get sick. lol

    Regardless, tomorrow is my birthday and I don't imagine we're doing a whole lot unless we both feel better. We've discussed going and watching my nephews' soccer games and looking at a couple of houses, but at this point, I just want to sleep.

    I stopped counting calories this week and just listened to my body. I ate when I was hungry and what I want and paid close attention and stopped if I was full or if something didn't taste good.... and I lost 2lbs! I usually gain when I'm sick, but I lost 2lbs! Yay!
