Hello chickies, the Pear is here to report on a grand feat performed today. Let it be known that yours truly can run 3.88 miles non-stop! (except when I had to wait for the little walking man when I was crossing streets) but almost 4 miles! Even though my stomach was kinda off and halfway through I thought I was going to have to either waddle home with my legs glued together or make a mad dash of disgrace into the decorative flora around campus, I didn't turn around and head home like a wimpus. So with that thought in mind, I decided to reward myself, not with food or shopping, but with a simple, beauty treatment that costs no money and works better than half the crap sold in stores. You see, I'm not Playboy covergirl caliber, but God DID see fit to bless me with nice skin, an abundance of it, but nice nonetheless. Seeing as how I've come to cherish our anonymous, cyber sisterhood, I'd like to give the gift of knowledge so ya'll can pamper yourselves after your hard work without going broke. So w/o further ado, what you'll need:
*2 TBL Brown Sugar(I prefer light bc it has a lighter scent)
*Olive Oil (or another less odorous base oil if you don't feel like smelling like something ppl would dip breadsticks in...I happen to like it)
***If you really want to up the moisturizing factor add a TBL of raw honey, which acts as a humectant, drawing moisture into the skin. Also, don't be stingy with the oil and pour enough to saturate the sugar.
Now, hop in the shower and rub the magical elixir in circular motions wherever you want soft, radiant skin.
*Walk in a red-faced, bedraggled woman in sweat stained Nike wear
* Exit feeling like Venus di Milo w/ entourage of overweight cherubs bearing gossamer scraps of clothing. Proceed to spend next hour sashaying around apt nude or admiring oneself in the bathroom mirror.
Sorry this was a bit lengthy but what can I say? I'm a writer
