Default Self-sabotage once below certain weight?

Does anybody ever feel like they have a certain point, where once they reach that weight, they (not purposefully) sabotage their weight loss? Mine is around the 155-165 range. Every time I start to get below 160, it is like something goes off.

Well not this time! I have the 3FC forum. But with the 150s in sight, it is almost like I am scared of continuing my weight loss. I think I am secretly lazy with my weight and don't want to have to think about maintenance lol

I did the same thing to myself! It's like once I hit 50 pounds loss I gained this new confidence and just ruined all of my progress!
But I'm back and we can do this!!!!

I've done this in the past and every time I've ever hit a plateau If you think it's happening to you come back on 3FC and tell us about it and we'll motivate you to stay OP!

wow! mine is the exact same range as you! i'm determined, though, to not be satisfied at this weight and get to my ultimate goal.

i think that's what happens with me. I get satisfied and I slack off and then later gain it back due to my slacking

152. There's something about 20% weight loss and being so close to a normal bmi that screws with me.

Yes this has happened to me in the past at around 129 to 133 pounds. I have never ever been able to get below that number.

Haha, I have the same range too. I haven't been in the 140's since I don't know when and it's like every time I get close I blow it. I don't know if its because I get diet fatigue (you know, getting in the rut of eating the same things day in and day out) or if it's just this mind set of "I'm so close, I guess I can eat normally again." I'm determined to not lose sight of my goal or settle for a weight that isn't my goal, well, unless its healthily under my goal, then its okay!

Oh wow! I am soooooo glad to know that I am not the only one. Thanks for the encouragement. Seriously, if it wasn't for 3fc and the awesome peeps like Platform, I think I would have gained all my weight back and then some.

jay/popsry - I think we can totally beat this with determination. It's just this habit of slacking when I get to a certain point - and behavior is really HARD work to change. Much more fun to snack and watch TV...but I really miss when I was slim and I wore a really nice dress and looked hot and knew I looked hot. Can't wait. That'll be better than ice cream!

mhill - So glad you are back on track! i fell off a couple weeks ago, but I'm back on the weight loss train.

Funsize - I totally believe you can get below 129-133.

Leah - you are so close to the 160s which is really like 11 pounds away from the 140s :-)

Yeah it's around the weight I am now everything tends to fall apart and I have no idea why. Not a clue!
Hopefully we can all get past it
