what time of day do you weigh?
in the summertime (i'm a teacher) i used to weight in the morning after waking up late. that was when i would get my best weights. now, the early morning is my worst time. i try to go to the bathroom, wash up, bring my breakfast to my bedroom and weigh and my weights are always discouraging.
it might be tmi, but my bm's have been in the late afternoon, and i weighed after that and have consistently getting lower weights than in the early morning. would it be weird to change my weighing time to the middle of the day? i'm thinking it make me less disciplined during dinner if i weight before dinner. what to do? |
Another teacher here. I personally had so much fun over the summer since I was able to exercise freely and sleep late, haha.
I think as long as you weigh consistently, it shouldn't be a problem to move your weigh-ins. You're not weighing at the same time you were in the summer anyway. I think I'm having some of the same issue. I haven't weighed myself later in the day, but I do feel lighter in the late afternoon if that makes sense.. |
I always weigh soon after I wake up, whenever that may be. My weight seems consistent doing this because I always have to use the bathroom (going #1+2) in the morning and I never let myself eat after 8 PM.
If I know I had too much salt or drank too little water or ate too little fibre the day before and can't have a BM before breakfast then I tend to skip weighing for that day because the weight will be thrown off anyway. |

I also weigh myself first thing in the morning after heading to the bathroom (for either numbers) and then weigh myself.
I try not to weigh myself at the end of the day, it's usually depressing. Consistency is key. |

I #2 in the morning after my coffee. So I don't want to weigh after I've drank 12oz of coffee, that's nearly a pound...even if I did *ahem* offset some of that with the BM. I have a very sensitive stomach in the morning. Besides my one cup of coffee in the morning, I have absolutely no desire to eat or drink anything until lunch time. I SHOULD at least drink something because of dehydration issues, but I figure my 12oz of coffee is good enough for fluids in the morning, lol. So at around lunch time (between 11am-1pm, whenever I can sneak away from work for an hour), I come home, quickly undress and weigh, and then drink water and eat lunch. It's kind of silly, but it's consistent, and it's been my routine for about 2 years now, lol. |
if i weigh in at 8-9am its great but weighing in at 4-5am during the week sucks. lol
