Maybe start by finding a few challenges you want to join? Thats what I did and found my groove right away.
If you want to stay accountable you can start posting in the daily accountability threads? I saw "Lose 10lbs by October 1st" in Weight Loss Support and joined in on that - I'll post in the one that says lose 10lbs by Nov 1st too when that thread is inevitably created - you could join that too and see how it goes for you. I'm sure that will open up this weekend over in Weight Loss Support. Then I started looking at the sub categories of the support groups and found a Thanksgiving Challenge in the 20something sub category and I checked out the 100lbs-ers sub category and found myself posting in "Get out of the 170s". Once you find a challenge or two - or maybe a thread that keeps you accountable or tracking regularly just keep reading and perusing threads - the more you read, the more you end up posting and the more you learn, I dare say even the more you lose in weight!! Definitely don't leave us - 3FC is an AMAZING resource - its a part of my daily life now like exercise and eating healthy is. Just try to find a thread or two you are interested - I think finding a challenge will give you a purpose and you will start cheering on your peers in the challenge too! |
