Weekly Challenge: Water Me Down

  • A while back during my first attempt at weight loss on here, a group of us would join in for weekly challenges. I was looking for some here, but couldn't find it so I figured I'd start it out and see if anyone wants to join.

The first challenge is: Drinking 64 oz. of water/day

Purpose: Keeping hydrated not only helps the body run more efficiently, BUT it also helps you feel fuller so you won't eat as much (which is totally something I need). PLUS by drinking WATER rather than other drinks, we cut out unnecessary sugars, sweeteners and, cough cough, alcohol that our systems may not need.

How To Track It: Copy and paste the chart below into your first post and edit it on a daily basis. It's tough to jump into all 64 oz starting on day one, so I made a chart for myself that adds water slowly. Feel free to use mine, or create one of your own.

Comment every day if you'd like to share tips or let us know how things are going. (Hopefully I won't be the only one participating in the challenge, but it wouldn't be the first time haha)

  • If you're starting tomorrow, wouldn't that be the 25th? I'll be starting on Monday, too! I wasn't initially thinking of doing this challenge, as 64oz is really not a problem for me anymore, but I'm going to make it my goal to get 3.5 liters in every day, like I was before.

Day One - Monday, July 25th: 1.5 Liters
Day Two - Tuesday, July 26th: 3 Liters
Day Three - Wednesday, July 27th: 4 Liters
Day Four - Thursday, July 28th: 4 Liters
Day Five - Friday, July 29th: 4 Liters
Day Six - Saturday, July 30th: 4 Liters
Day Seven - Sunday, July 31st: 4 Liters
  • hahaha good call. tomorrow is totally the 25th. also, as a teacher, i don't keep track of the dates in the summer
  • I will join in on this one but I don't it will be too hard for me, I think I come pretty close to it anyway if not hitting it everyday. I will start recording tomorrow!
  • i hit my 24 oz no problem. usually i only drink about 8 oz/day which i know is horrible. i made sure to drink my 24 before having other beverages and ended up drinking 2 16oz bottles. i reworked my schedule for the week taking this into consideration. day 1 done
  • Ooh, I'd like to join. Drinking enough water is my achilles's heel.

I'd like to aim for 3 liters/ day (about 101 oz, according to google), I usually can hit 2 liters quite easily, but flounder after that.

    Symmetry
    Day 1: Date- July 26th ____l/ 3l
    Day 2: Date- 27th ____l/ 3l
    Day 3: Date- 28th ____l/ 3l
    Day 4: Date- 29th ____l/ 3l
    Day 5: Date- 30th ____l/ 3l
    Day 6: Date- 31st ____l/ 3l
    Day 7: Date- August 1st ____l/ 3l
  • Didn't hit my mark on Monday because I was out so much, but made up for it!
  • hey there ladies, sorry i've been missing. i was travelling for a wedding and the hotel i stayed at didn't have free internet. i almost hit all of my water goals, though most days when i realized i didn't come close to my goals, i chugged water before bed. so not a good idea. i need to work on spreading it throughout the day!! midnight pee breaks are no fun!
  • Bookin' about four liters a day!
