Default Dress shopping!

I had to share this with you ladies! Today was a great day!

I was out shopping today for a dress, because one of my closest friends is getting married in 2 weeks (an outdoor wedding).

I HATE dress shopping. I don't wear dresses. Ever. I've never found one that I like. I've always had to buy size 18 or bigger and nothing looks good....

I came home with THREE dresses (all size 16) today, that I love. I can't decide which I'll wear just yet - I'll likely return the two I don't wear, because I hope to not fit in them soon enough.

AND perhaps the best part? I tried on a 14 of a different style and it fit great! I almost bought it just because I could... but it was a bit too, eh, ruffle-y for my taste.

But today was such a great reminder of why I'm doing this!

Yay! Sounds like so much fun, I agree it's really motivating too. I love buying new clothes now. I'm also in a 16 and just about into a 14. I have a lot of size 14 stuff that I've bought on sale, just waiting for me to get there.

Isn't that an awesome feeling?! I hadn't worn a dress since my high school graduation (seven years ago) until a wedding a few weeks ago. I felt so awesome in it, I realized I really like dresses, when I used to hate them. I'm wearing a sundress right now, in fact, just because I can.

You'll be buying those size 14 dresses before you know it!

Congrats!! I'm sure it was awesome fitting into smaller sizes!! It's always good to buy things that show us we're getting smaller and smaller--great motivator! I personally can't wait for that perk of my weight loss!!

Congrats! I think fitting into smaller sizes is even more exciting than seeing the scale go down. Be sure to rock whatever dress you wear.

It's funny. I literally just spent an hour looking around online for dresses to wear to a wedding I'm attending (on my 25th birthday in 7 weeks). I REALLY want to rent a dress from RentTheRunway. I'm currently ~2 inches away on my Bust/Waist/Hips, but the reviews said the dress was stretchy and forgiving. I'm gonna try and be super OP for the next few weeks and make it happen.

This is the dress, Badgley Mischka..ahhh. It's perfect for a tall curvy girl. Time to eat salad and lace up the running shoes.

Thanks MidnightRaven & bopbot. I was thinking about this dress on my run today. It's perfect. I wanted something classy but still fun and sexy. It's a great summer wedding and birthday dress.
