Not really a mini-goal, but I am just finally starting to see some changes that other people have been telling me they see for awhile. I find it hard to celebrate my weight loss, since it hasn't really sunk in yet. Today I tried on a 34c bra, definitely the smallest i've been since puberty, and just felt GOOD about my body. I know I still need a ways to go, but looking back, i've come a long way from almost 222 pounds. I don't have a lot of girlfriends I really want to share these pictures with, but just needed to share them with someone, so please bear with me lol.
This is me today, at around weighing in at 132 today. I don't cover my face for anonymity's sake, but my face just did not look good.
And this is one of the few photos of me at my heaviest, 222.
and great idea with keeping the photos close to me! i already plan on doing something like that with the first photo, and just keep it in my phone for whenever i'm feeling like a cow. It's so easy for me to forget about all the hard work i've put in to losing the weight and just focus on how I still don't have a perfect figure.
Don't over-focus on the imperfections; you could go stir crazy. Focus on everything that turned out PERFECT instead, and that should help as a reminder
When I lost 30 pounds a few years ago, I made the mistake of looking in the mirror and cursing at all the stuff that wasn't perfect yet, rather than celebrating the stuff that improved with that 30 pound loss.
I definitely like the idea of keeping it in your phone - would help to push away that temptation to maybe have something you shouldn't. All you have to do is look at the picture and bammo! no chocolate bar for you. LOL
@therex firstly congratz on a job well done. A 90lb loss doesnt come overnight, its hard work and discipline so keep it up. Secondly its gonna take time for you to get used to a smaller you, it will be like falling in love with yourself all over again. Dont fall into the mindset of still seeing youself as the 'fat girl', you are so close to your goal weight but another thing you should be thinking about now is maintainence. How are you going to maintain this new body? And make sure that you dont get back to 222lb. Anyway congratz, you should be very proud of yourself.
You are looking good!!! And another Bay Area girl?!?!? What part, South, City or East Bay? I live in Piedmont (i.e. Oakland) I never see other Bay people on here!
Congratulations on your weightloss!!!! I have 97 pounds to lose and you are an encouragement to me. What program did you follow?
I mostly counted calories and exercised 5-6 times a week. Nothing all that complicated. I recommend reading all the stickies in the calorie counting forum though! They helped me a ton when I was first starting out, and feel free to message me if you have any more questions

I know where Piedmont is! I get my haircut there lol. I try not to go too often though because I know Fenton's is around there, and I'm just not that good at saying no. And I'm from the East bay, Richmond specifically (You might have heard of us in the news, it's not a very popular).
