Generally it's recommended to get no more than 2300 mg of sodium a dayif you are a healthy adult. I believe if you have high blood pressure that number is 1500 mg.
1 tsp of salt is 2300 mg. I pretty much don't put salt in ANYTHING and I'm getting an average of 1500-1800 mg.
Oh and pretty much anytime I eat out that number is always above 3000. I try to eat out VERY little cuz of that and I ask for no salt at restaurants.
