Smile Nsv: I survived my superbowl party!

Tonight I had a very small get together to watch the game. Lately I've been letting myself have some leeway and eat weekly points, but today I felt like being strict. I had wendy's for lunch and ordered some small items but portion correctly(I.e only ate half and gave the rest to hubby- they were the lower point choices on the menu too)- we were teaching Sunday school and got wendy's for the kids and I didn't want to feel deprived.

Then, we bought some live crabs to eat at home- yum! (and low cal by nature- they were steamed). But the best part came later when I put out a good assortment of chips and dip and fruit and I ate fruit, and carrots with salsa instead of chips. We ordered pizza which is a trigger food of mine and I ate one small slice. I managed to avoid the delicious fried chicken my dear friend brough even though it smelled delicious and later, when dh made steaks I cut a piece and went and weighed it. Part way through I realized I was done and didn't finish the rest and went back, weighed it and put it away which left me with 1 extra point for a sugar free fudgsicle afterwards.

Firstly, I LOVE my food scale, can you tell? Secondly, I've just lost my first 5lbs on ww (to counteract the 10 lbs I've put on since the wedding) and I am SO EXCITED to see the plan working and to feel like I'm getting my body back! I cant wait to get to goal!

Wow it seems like you are really committed to your weight loss efforts and your ticker shows it. Congrats on 63 pounds gone.
I have a food scale too. It makes things so much easier and better than eyeballing everything and getting it wrong. Keep up the great work.

Thanks! Ww isn't as weighing intensive as other diets, however, I like weighing things like meat and chips so I can get an accurate measurement. Especially for the meat since without it im just eyeballing
