one upon a time, about 3-4 years ago... i bought an 80's style loose black shirt with a big face printed on it... because it was so versatile (i could dress it up, or down) it soon became my favorite "going out shirt" that i wore over and over, like a million times, every time i went out, even when i had newer or cuter options available, haha.

yesterday, i wore that shirt to go out with friends, and basically, it kept falling off my shoulders and i had to keep it tucked in my skirt to give it shape. i realized, sadly, that i probably wouldn't be able to wear that shirt again because it was just too damn BIG!! and it made me so sad! (but i guess it's a good thing too

so please, let's have a minute of silence in honor of my favorite shirt... you shall be missed (lol!)


this is one of the first times i wore it. i believe i was roughly 200lbs there


at a party about 2 years ago, with my then boyfriend (who was so skinny and short!! lol)


a year and a half ago, last time i flew home, partying with my best friend.


a few months later, when friends from home visited me in japan.


we had a "hipster" party, about a year ago in feb.


and this was at my friend's birthday last march.


and then at my birthday in august


and just yesterday!!

i think it's kinda crazy, cuz you can totally see my weight loss, and i'm always wearing the same damn shirt! haha...

so tell me, has anything similar happened to you?

So cute!!! And you look so tiny in the most recent picture! Also, I looove your lipstick in the first picture. I have the opposite problem, I had a shirt when I was skinny that I wore all.the.time. and I haven't been able to wear it in a couple years, so I'm soooo ready for when that thing fits!

I agree with the idea to wear it with shorts and a belt to show off your new body better!!

Soo adorable! If it were me I would keep the shirt. It could be a great reminder of your success or, if you're a hand sewer, you could turn it into a dress and keep wearing it!

I say frame it-- mostly the face part, and then hang it on your wall as an Ode to your hard work.... then, treat yourself to a shopping trip when you hit your next goal!

oh yeah, i'll definitely be keeping it for rememberance! haha. but i think saturday was probably the last time wearing it...

annie and audri, oooh, i hadn't thought about that! if i had any kind of sowing skills, i could probably do something cool with it, but alas... lol!

mdchick (and FPSJ), i am a makeup addict!! that lipstick is "pretty please" from MAC, paired with "delirium" lip gloss from lancome. ridiculously expensive lip gloss, but pretty much the only thing to put on my lips that i have renewed 5 TIMES over the years!! mdchick, i really hope you get to fit into that shirt soon! that's an awesome goal! oh and on the makeup note again... my newest obsession is fake eyelashes!! they are really big here and i've started wearing them when going out... so fun!!
