kind of a personal question... but its killing me

  • Hey girlies... This is just killing me and I have to ask do any of you see the numbers go up on the scale when TOM comes... ugh so frustrating!
  • most of the time, i do, but it really is just water. it's like my body wants to hold on to every last ounce of water i drink. and i just feel bloated
it stinks. i just try to watch my sodium intake- not eat as many processed foods, try not to put too much salt into food i cook, etc.

    i know, it's a pain
  • I think most people see some sort of increase on the scale when it's TOM. Seriously don't worry about it, though, it's typically just water weight and will go away. If it's upsetting for you, don't weigh around TOM.
  • Yeah just wait for after TOM, maybe even give yourself a few days after and then weigh yourself...
  • thanks
    thanks ladies
  • Drives me crazy as well!

    It's oh, so normal.

I'm on my TOM now, thanks to the tummy flu I had last week... I'm currently up to 224, but itll be gone as soon as I'm done and go back on my pills tomorrow. Okay, so I lied, I started them today so I can get some water weight off before my weigh in on Saturday, ... My body seems to keep all the water I consume inside, and I drink at least 150oz a day! Jerky body.

One time, 2 periods ago, I gained 12lbs. TWELVE. I wanted to punch someone in the face! But I'm on Seasonique, so that was nearly 9 months ago... or... 10? I dont know. I was pretty surprised though!
  • YES! A few days before, I am always 1 or 2 lbs heavier and it drives me insane. I don't weight myself during my cycle though. I always wait around 3-4 days after it's over.
