Default T.O.M questions

How long does weight gain last due to the time of the month.. I'm a good 5 days before my period and I'm up 4 pounds.. I was a little shocked but then I did the math and my period isn't that far away.. anyways how long before and how long after does TOM weight gain last so I know when to weigh myself again? Thanks

I usually start holding on to weight and/or gaining about a 5-7 days before TOM. It usually starts to fall off when my period starts through 2 days post TOM. Just make sure to avoid extra salty foods.

I hate you TOM... just thought I'd add that in there. I don't really know. I've never really paid that close attention. However, I DO know that the scale is not nice to me during that time.... which is right now.

I'm the same as Stella, about a week beforehand I bloat and then near the end of my period it starts to drop off.

It's frustrating but you have to realize it's not a true number your seeing.

Yeah, I try not to weigh myself during that time, just because I get frustrated. Just remember to drink a lot of fluids and get a lot of rest. Also, exercise! Its always hard for me to get to the gym during TOM, but once I'm there I feel better.

ah okay that makes sense.. I was just thinking to myself.. maybe it's the repercussions from my vacay in cali, where I was good minus working out... I came back with a weight loss!... and then all of the sudden I was up up up..

I'm hungry all the time now.. I dont know whats wrong with me.. Like I usually make a sandwich at work, but usually dont finish cuz its so big, last night I finished it before I knew it and I was sad there was no more left like I could still eat more.. then I realized I never eat that much.. hrm and before work i chowded down on carrots and ranch an half a cantaloupe!

My weight usually goes up 4 days before TOM and then it goes down 3 days after it started. It's a huge pain in the ***, but after it's all done the scale is beautiful.
