wow this thread is rockin' lately! It took me a while to catch up. :dizzy:
Last night I found 2 (costco sized) packages of Paydays and Reeses peanut butter cups stashed in his office closet... which also happens to be where my extra kitchen appliances are. abluvion- My husband it totally full of contradictions. although I found candy in the house last night I didn't find any chips... I suspect they are in his trunk. lol Ade- I hear ya! I remember when my husband and I were dating and going through that phase. Unfortunately that contributed to the beginning of my downfall! lol Congrats on your loss!! MsCoh- thanks for the birthday wishes. :D Zan- I am also having a blah week. Although I don't have TOM to blame yet. :/ I have been crafting all week and every night I am shocked when I look at the clock and it's already 10 PM. I did not exercise enough. :( |
ade congrats on doing so well at your bday dinner! And yeah, I'm allll about filling foods. I'll admit, I'm all about volume, so sometimes when I want something that is bad for me and high in points, I start thinking about how I will have to deprive myself later and usually figure it isn't worth it! I really get the munchies at night, so I like to save points for things like fruit and popcorn.
ab sorry to hear aquafit wasn't all you wanted, but if you can go at your own pace, just push it a bit more than the others! You are still getting great exercise! And I hope your bday goes well even if you have to go to work :( zan TOM sucks! Thanks for all the answers about WPA. I was just wondering cause there are a lot of people in the regular WW forum here that say they use all of theirs every week and lose more. One lady said she lost 6 lbs. I was doing the math, and if every point is ~50 cals, I'm at 1350 cals/day. Using my WPA would average out to 1600 cals a day. Still not a BAD amount of cals, but higher than I would really like for weight loss. However, I have a history of excessive calorie counting so to speak, so my ideas of normal caloric intake is skewed (one of the reason I like doing the points better). I guess I will use the points if I want to. Last night, for example, I had 2 pts left but really wanted that WW peanut butter ice cream cup (amazing, btw), which was 3 points. Then, I couldn't sleep, so I munched on some carrot sticks with a wedge of laughing cow. |
Ade, I have to know, how big is a 22pt steak? And, were you able to finish it?
Abluvion, sorry to hear that the Aquafit class wasn't all that you'd hoped. At least it was free? Are there any other classes you could try out? Kay, Paydays and Reeses Peanutbutter Cups are my very favorites. I'm glad they didn't show up with my spare kitchen appliances! I'm so happy it's Friday, but I've got a super busy afternoon to get through before the weekend. Path lab, then real lab, then finally happy hour (and I've saved a bunch of points for beer)! Hope everyone's having a good day! |
I am looking forward to the weekend, that is for sure!!! |
The steak was 10 oz. The menu said it was cooked in garlic butter. I was really unhappy with the way the nutritional information was. It didn't give specifics. So I asked a lot of questions, but just took the steak for what it was. I'd rather say it was too many points than not enough. Oh, and I ate it all! :) I was a happy girl.

mmmm, Beef!
Oh great, now I want some, haha! Clock-watching here, just waiting for the next 13 minutes to end. I swear that second hand twitches backward one notch for every three it goes forward. *watches the clock with a glare, suspicious of it's movement* |
Geez, I have been craving beef lately...and Taco Bell!
I actually think I am going to work some taco bell into my points allowance for today. |
So, yeah. I'm a bit... okay, that's a lie, I am very uncomfortable with posting this image, but heck, I'm still gonna!
So, I found a swimsuit... That I am not completely hating. Though some days I figure I'll want a pair of guys boardshorts (when I go kayaking for example), so I haven't picked up a pair to wear with this yet. My usual swim outfit was a girl's tankini top and baggy boy boardshorts (usually with a huge t-shirt over the top). Here's a pic from November '09 (started WW 12/30/09) to go with the pic I just took today. When I'm feeling like this whole weightloss thing is going far too slow, I go and look at my reject shots that I still have on my computer (mostly of my face as I didn't do many full bodies before this). Seeing the weight change in my face and neck alone makes me feel better and keep going when I would otherwise think that there wasn't much change. So.... here it is.... *wince* http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...c/Progress.jpg Oh, and please excuse my sister's butt, :lol3: As you can see, I have a habit of hiding behind people. Though if I had know that the camera was going to get nearly all of me in the old picture, I would have hid better. ;) I wore a 2X tightly then (so I was going for the baggy 3Xs right then). |
zan-you look great!! I love that swimsuit! (where did you get it?) Congrats on your successes thus far!
|
Thank you, Ade!!!
I picked it up from Walmart actually. ;) Nothing else would hold all the boobs... I'm trying to figure out how to alter it in order to get more chest support. Maybe by crossing the straps in the back then sewing the ties to the back of the suit and tightening the inner fabric under my chest somehow (more elastic, stat! haha). I figure it would be a great suit to use as I lose weight since there is a regular one piece (kind of liner like thing) and then the looser outer fabric that kind of bunches a little over the belly, so I can mess with the inner suit's seams for a while before needing a new one. |
I have something similar, it's almost like a dress. Hides my belly pretty well. It's kind of like the swimsuit Rachel McAdams wears in The Notebook (not the red one, but the one piece she wears in the lake). I've got the same problem with keeping the boobs tamed. I've always want a bikini, but those suckers are so wild, I may have to go the customized top route. And I'm getting a little ahead of myself. They have bikinis on clearance around here, so I might buy a bikini to take some pictures in....maybe ;)
Happy weekend! |
Zan- What a difference! You look great! Way to work up the courage to post the pics. I know what that is like! :) Actually... you are a step ahead of me since I have yet to post anything like a bathing suit shot! lol I also know what you mean as far as the boobage goes. Your alteration ideas are great! I bet it would work. Good find!
Which reminds me... on my vacation I noticed that my bathing suit is really thinning in the small of the back. WTH is that about? I mean I thought the butt or boobs would thin out first but I guess not. So we all know what that means.... I have to go suit shopping too!!! Oh noooooo!! lol I have one that is just a little tight but it is a HUGE plunging neck line (like down to the belly button almost) with the criss cross tie down the front. It's a little too riskay for my current confidence level. lol |
btw Zan- I am totally jealous of your slim arms and pointy elbows! Even in your old pic! I wish I had your arms. :)
|
zan that swimsuit is so cute and looks great on you! I might have to go to my walmart to pick up one like that for disney
|
Okay, so I've been pretty bored. I decided to go get a bikini with my financial aid money. And I'm posting them for the world to see. Recap: I've lost 9 lbs. I didn't take any bikini pictures at my start weight. So these will be my "start" pictures I guess. I've got large love handles and a belly, and no butt. I'm thinking 25 more pounds to lose, and then I'll reevaluate. Oh and I died my hair red! I get bored easily lol. So here they are...
