What do you all think about using a guy as motivation to lose weight?

I met this guy (Bill) a little while ago at a dinner with my sister, my godfather's son Chris (who is more like a brother/cousin) and his two roommates. We talked most of dinner kind of ignoring the rest of the table. lol. None of it was flirty. Just out with the guys kinda thing. We went to a Brazilian steakhouse so it was a very family atmosphere. I definitely noticed how unbelieveably attractive he was, but didnt act on it at all. The night ended and we all went our separate ways. In the car on the way home, my sister and I were talking and I said something about how I thought my hair wasn't cooperating and she replied that it must be fine because it caught Bill's attention. I didn't have that impression, but it surprised me she thought so. Later he friended my sister and me on facebook, even though he never uses it. He's not even friends on there with his roommates and his last comment is months old. He is smart, in school, and super cute. Seriously, he looks like Clark Kent. lol. I don't know him well enough to really like him, but Im intrigued and I have a crush. The thing is, we are both currently super busy with classes, and living 2 hours apart. That doesn't help trying to see if its a possibility. Im thinking, we both get done with classes in a couple weeks, and will be in the same city, so I should try to lose as much weight as possible and see if I can spark an interest. I know that its not all about appearance, but he is very fit and athletic, so I can't help but assume he would only be attracted to the same.

So, what do you girls think? Is it ok to lose weight to attract a guy? Should I try to spark an interest while Im away or wait till I get back in the same town?

it seems like he likes you now just the way you are, i mean if you want to use this as motivation, then that's up to you,

but just remember he showed interest in you as you are right now, not what you'll look like ten to fifteen pounds smaller.

i hope everything works out for you!!

Well, as a related topic, I think it's okay to lose weight to help your self esteem so you can better empower yourself to go for it!

I would stay in touch and see what happens. It sounds like he already is attracted to you. I would continue on my eating/exercise plan, but not overdo it just for a date. Don't assume that he would only date someone super fit! He may like your curves!
