Default This is good right?...

So on Friday I started weighing in every morning when I get up, started at 233.8. Saturday was 233.0, Sunday and today (Monday) I am at 232.6. This is fairly good right? I suppose I feel like since I am not seeing a big difference I feel like I'm not doing something right. But, keeping in mind this is just a diet change, I haven't incorperated regular excercise in yet, this is a good start to my weight loss right? I guess I just need some reassurance! Thanks in advance!

Course that's good.
Small and steady weight loss is WONDERFUL. That's the kind of weight that stays off. Large drops in weight in just a few days are usually just the loss of excess water weight, and are not indicative of your actual weight loss successes.

Small fractions of pounds every day are immense successes. Don't look at 233.8 to 232.6 and think, "Ohh, it's ONLY a pound..." Think about the sheer wonderful success that the scale is going in the right direction! You're doing well, you're moving the right way! Kudos, lady!

Seeing a loss is great! keep in mind though that weight can fluctuate based on water weight, the time of the month etc. This is one reason some plans only have you weigh once a week.

Just do not get discouraged if one day you are up instead of down.

You are also just starting out- you will see larger drops in the beginning usually.

My nutritionist says even if you lose HALF a lb a week that is good. Remember it's not just about numbers on the scale but how your clothes fit and how you feel. Take measurements too- you might see a week or two with no loss BUT you could see a decrease in waist size by a few inches, etc. I know I lost ZERO pounds last month and this month have lost 4 lbs only, but I've gone down to a size 14.

Thanks! That really helps, and I should probably be really thankful for even losing a small amount so far, I've only been changing little things in my lifestyle at a time, in hopes to come up with something I can stick to! So far, I've cut out most of the sodas (I was really drinking alot!!! Like a 12 pack in just a day or two ) and a lot of the junk (candy and whatnot). So when I add in some excercise and make a few more diet changes, I think I may start seeing a bit more of a difference.

Unless I'm not understanding what you're saying, from Friday to Monday you lost 1.2 pounds. That is NOT small. That is only THREE days! If you keep loosing at the same rate, in a week from last Friday you will have lost 2.8 pounds. Most people only DREAM of losing even 2 pounds a week, and are happy if they only even lose 0.5 pounds in one week.

Just remember, the slower you take it off, the harder it would be to put it back on.
