Truthfully, I don't really think it's about a number on a scale. Yes, it's great to see that number go down. And with regular exercise and a proper diet, it will. But I don't think someone would ever really be able to tell the difference between a girl who is 140lbs and toned, and a soft 120lbs.
So here's an example. One of my friends, she's 5'4", size 5/6 in dresses, size 27 in jeans, plays hockey and runs. She looks tiny, tiny, has a small waist, and a flat stomach. But she weighs 135lbs, and you would never guess it, because she has muscles. You can see them when she flexes and we arm-wrestle when we're drunk. Anyway, my goal is to be similar to her - healthy, slim, and small. I don't know if this helps at all, though. |
I think as woman, we can all relate in one way or another! I personally never wanted to be thin. To date I dont. I have a solid frame always have and I carry my weight well. Back in high school I weighed about 160 probably throughout the entire four years and compared to the other students my age I was always a lil bigger than them. Back then I remember sort of wanted to lose weight but I was also somewhat comfy with myself. I had a decent stomach defined figure. BUT I still wanted to shed a few lbs because I was bigger than all of my friends. NOW I would kill to be that 160-170.
At the end of the day we have to love ourselves and treat ourselves the way we want others to treat us. U have to learn to except certain things for what they really are. You have done an amazing job losing weight. WE are all normal people and I dont expect to look like a super model after losing 60lbs. Look at the brighter side of things. You are almost at goal!!!!!!!!!! Thats priceless in my eyes........ |
Thanks ladies. I just hope that I will finally be happy with myself. Im getting there slowly but slow and steady wins the race right?
