Good Morning Ladies! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!
Can you believe we made it? [Yeah, me either] So the scale says 183 this morning, which it should, because this week has been tough. Although its much better than the 188 it said on Wednesday (remember when I told you my scale was a liar?) I am the only one medically trained (to admin medications/take care of medical emergencies) in my office this morning. The other 2 are out... so this should be an interesting day especially considering I have to go off campus TWICE today. Lets just hope all **** doesn't break out. I have to go pick up my mom's mother's day present this afternoon and get to the gym some time before 9... I am SO looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. I hope you all are doing well!!!! <3 |
Helloooo ladies.
As Feral said, Happy Friday. I couldn't sleep last night, so I decided to stay up late reading. Now I'm struggling to stay awake, but I had a rather large breakfast so at least I'm not hungry. Hopefully today goes by smoothly, although I probably will have a meeting with HR at some point. Ugh. I had gym ADD last night - I couldn't get comfortable on one machine, so I did all of them. I just couldn't break a sweat, then finally I was like EFF IT and hopped on the treadmill. I didn't have my running shoes, but I needed to get the energy out so I ran/jogged a mile and finally I was sweating. I guess it paid off b/c my scale said 171.4 this morning :) |
Good morning, everyone!
Scale was down this morning...again! Whoohoo! So, I'm thinking of making one day a week an off day. No counting, no recording...do you think that's a good idea? or no? I don't plan on stuffing my face with everything in the house, just taking a break from actually paying close attention to every calorie. Just for one day. I'm kinda wishy-washy about it because I don't want to fall back off the boat, but I don't want to get burnt out either. Do any of you do this? stella: Whatcha readin'? I usually have gym ADD (as you put it...haha) too. I can never just stay on one machine for too long. My feet always go numb though...it sucks. I have to switch it up a bit. However, the last time I went to the gym I did the treadmill for 30 minutes and didn't do anything else. It felt good. :) Ferel: I love Fridays! :) Sounds like you got a lot of things to do today. I still have not gotten my mother anything for Mother's day. I plan on going to see her Monday and Tuesday, so maybe I'll be fine if I get something before then. Jess7286: DH wants some of those shoes....I don't know why, he doesn't run. Ha!! Skinnybride: Those sound like good rewards. I just don't think clothes or spa days are really going to keep me motivated. I even thought about getting my hair done, but there is nothing that I would want done. Haha...I don't know. I am spoiled already. If I want something bad enough, I usually just go ahead and buy it (if I have the money). I never wait to reward myself. I guess that's why I'm having such a hard time trying to think of something to do for myself. Chele: Are you an elem. or high school teacher? I am studying to be an elementary teacher, but I want to teach upper elem. or high school. When I'm finished I'll have my endorsements in English and Science. However, now I'm scared because of this big teacher lay-off. I just hope I can find work somewhere when it comes time for me to find something. aliquot: WAY TO GO ON THE WEIGHT LOSS!! :carrot: MementoxMori: Hello and Welcome! :) camocutie: WELCOME! :) |
Shauna - last night I finished the latest Sookie Stackhouse book, Dead in the Family I think it was called. Now I'm onto a book called "the Amazing Adventures of Dietgirl." I can usually stay on the machines for a long time, my brain just wasn't there.
As for a day where you don't count, I think it could be a good day. On Saturdays and Sundays I usually don't write everything down, but I have a mental list - I loosely keep track, but not down to every single calorie. It works some days, and some days it doesn't :) I just bought myself a fruit cup from Starbucks to try and cheer me up. Mango is good... |
Good afternoon its been a busy week i'm so tired but no rest anytime soon but next thurs i am leaving for the beach for a girls weekend i'm excited. The scale has been very nice to me 178.8 woohoo i love you scaley scale LOL Overlook my sillyness I'm pooped and ready for vaca!
|
Stella - Is that the book by Diet Girl?! She's funny. I listened to part of her podcast with MizFit. It's pretty interesting and I like how they answer people's questions.
Feral - Water weight = LIES. So don't believe your scale when it shows you something ridiculous like 188. HAPPY FRIDAY and I hope you're off work soon and enjoying the weekend! Sgregg - They're good for walking, running, cycling, jumping (parkour), weight lifting. They're just awesome. I go to the store in them. I got over the weird factor. Then again, Californians are *thankfully* really into that kind of stuff so there's been a lot of people with them so I guess it's not THAT strange here. Star - WE ARE SO DOWN! I'm going to train for the full though. I'm going to try to do a 10-miler on Sunday or Monday. We can do this! I WANT THAT MEDAL! As for me, I finished my review of VitaTops. They're pretty good. Much more muffin like than brownie like. Getting a box of Newman's Organics soon (**** yeah!) and going to see Iron Man 2 this afternoon. Wohoo for Robert Downey Jr.! |
And Scarlett Johansen. I like boys, but I'd kick anyone out of bed for her - possibly with the exception of her husband...

TGIF ladies!!

IM DONE AS AN UNDERGRAD!!!!!!!
My friend and I stepped out of our last final and went straight to get pedicures! I'm going out to dinner now with another friend, and then senior bar crawl tonight!!! I am SO excited to graduate tomorrow!!!!!!!! but not thrilled about packing. |
I graduated today. I now am an offcial master of Biotechnology. A haven't been eating so well with my fam but I know I will have no problem getting back on track after they leave. Love you guys!
|
Congratulations to everyone who is graduating/has graduated. It's such an incredible feat and an amazing feeling to know that it's all done!!!!
|
Feral - Hey lady! I miss ya - feels like we haven't "chatted" on here in a very long time! Yay for 183!!
JESS - as I was reading through, I seen your s/c/G and ummm it says 187??? HOLY SHIZ - when did you get so skinny and drop 10 more lbs??? Good for you!!!!!! |
Congratulations to all of you graduates!
|
Jenny - Thanks! I'm pretty stoked. I'm about 4 or 6 pounds away from college graduation weight. I can't remember the exact number for graduation. Is your scale still in purgatory?
I think I'm going to buy goggles off ebay or something. I really want to start swimming and I'm just going to have to get over my fear of being in a swim suit in public. At first I wasn't going to do it until I reached the 170s, but really, what's the difference between the 180s and 170s? Yup. I'm going swimming soon. |
Congrats to the graduates!!!!! :)
Shauna - I know a lot of people that have an easy day. I guess the key is just to make sure that one easy day doesn't turn into more... Skinny - CONGRATS!!! Enjoy the beach and time with your girls! Jess - go swimming girl. Just say screw it and go. There are so many different TYPES of suits out there you will def find something that's flattering!!!! Jenny - I know! It's been a quiet week over here on my side which really means I had a horribly off plan week and didn't want to post on here. If you guys haven't experienced that yet you will. How are you?! What have you been up to? You still doing okay with the whole break up situation? So I went out last night with my parents for mexican. I ate the eff out of some chips and queso, had half of a seafood burrito (because I was so full from the chips) and a margarita. I came home and passed out in a food induced coma and felt horrible. I literally said to myself "OMG - I do not want to feel like this ever again." Lesson learned? One could hope. So I'm vowing to you girls right now to be better from here on out because I have just been out of control this week! What the heck is going on? Hope you guys all have a great weekend! To those of you that are moms - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! :) |
