Default Anyone doing WW?

I rejoined WW Online today. About two and a bit years ago I did it on my own, no meetings or online tools, and lost 20lbs. I haven't gained any of it back now, maybe about 3lbs or so, but I want to nip that in the bud ASAP and finally get to my goal weight. Now that I can't remember a lot of what I knew then, I thought I'd get some help from their online tools.

WW is the only thing that has ever worked for me. Calorie counting, for whatever reason, just hasn't been shifting any weight at all on my body. I think the 1537 calorie recommendation I had from the Daily Plate was perhaps a bit off. Even on a great week where I ate really well I didn't even lose 0.2 of a pound, but consistently on WW I lost weight... so back to what works for me!!

Are there any other 20-somethings doing WW? I'd love to chat about your successes and see how you're all getting on!

I am doing ww to. I tried it when i was in high school without meetings and didn't like it. I felt like I had to think about food all the time. This time when I started losing weight i got stuck at 15lbs and couldn't lose anymore. I joined ww and have now lost 39lbs all together. I really like it although the meeting aren't my fav. Knowing i have to weigh in keeps me on track.

Me! Well, sorta. I have my mom's really old WW set (the Winning Points System, for those who care) and I've just been figuring it out on my own.

I like not having to count veggies. I know some will say that effectively counting every calorie is better, but I know i'll never eat them if I have to count them!

I'm going WW, and am not attending meetings. I actually never paid for it, because my mom had all the materials for the flex points system laying around. I just kinda figured it out on my own, and have been doing since about July 2009 (with a pause from december until about 3 weeks ago...where I didn't gain but just tried to maintain)....and I have lost a total of 66 lbs. Its SO easy and it's the only thing that I've ever tried that has worked for me. =D

I am...technically I am starting today. I have tried to start about 10 times already though. Would love to chat as well with other 20 somethings on WW.

I've been doing ww since 12/30/09. Basically, I do go to the meetings just because I like the idea of them weighing me and being able to pick up groceries on the way home along with various errands all on that one day a week without having to spare much thought to it. The meetings are a me thing, though I could probably use that $40 differently - maybe as mini rewards for weight goals, so I might change and stop going, who knows. Plus I've been picking up their ww stuff and sending it to my parents who are doing it through me.

A couple of years I did WW and lost about 15 pounds. So I am trying it again. I've never been to a meeting because of the money (broke college student here) but I'd like to go.

If you guys are up for it, maybe we could make a 20-somethings group thread in the Clubs & Groups section of the WW board?

I did WW last year and had success with it but fell off the wagon. Now I'm trying SBD which I really like.

We used to have a 20 somethings WW thread on here. Why don't you guys create one of those?

I was an online WW member as well, but really didn't like their boards compared to here.

Just a suggestion

Sure Feral, that sounds like a good idea. I guess then we can keep everything together in the 20-something's forum.

I do WW too! I've lost 13lbs so far, and I lost 20lbs in high school. I gained that 20lbs + back once I started college. Had to cook for myself, stopped going to meetings, etc.

Now I'm back on track. I go to meetings every week. Keeps me in line and I don't want to buy a scale. I'll become obsessed!

And I agree with Feral about the WW boards... people were really snotty and when you slipped up and just wanted to vent, they'd rip you a new one! Here is much nicer.
