I just made an awesome dinner. I love Jamie Oliver xD

Chele615 04-30-2010 05:43 AM

I have been absolutely out of control this week!! Haha....school vacation weeks kill me. Especially since I usually go away on vacation and it takes a while to get back into my routine. Plus, it's my TOM....so it hasn't been a good couple of weeks. I am going away for the weekend, but I am really looking forward to getting back into my routine and stopping the madness! haha

stellarosa27 04-30-2010 08:22 AM

Haley - what color!?

Chris - I do not camp. I mean I have, in a tent nestled between 2 boys for warmth, with a bathroom 20 feet away, but that is the extent I will go.

Icon - yay :)

Jazz - you are amazing :) Way to be a rock star.

So last night my dinner was chicken and pasta, oatmeal and popcorn. Oddest thing ever, but I needed the carbs. Today I'm having a yogurt parfait for breakfast, noodles & co for lunch, then probably a peanut butter smoothie before my "nap" until midnight, then I'll have some oatmeal. I've also been told I need to hydrate like yesterday, so I've been drinking smart water and I have vitman water revive for today and for the start of the hike. I have to do last minute shopping but omg. Soo nervous but soo excited :) :)

Samantha417 04-30-2010 08:30 AM

jess- one awesome thing I found are chocolate covered banana popsicles. They're 130 calories each, you can get them in dark chocolate or milk chocolate. It's only half of a banana, but they're SOOO good!!

HaleyisLove 04-30-2010 09:16 AM

samantha- I saw those in the little market in my town and I didnt get them...but now I'm totally going to

Stella- you will do fabulous, I'm sooo excited for you :) and I cant wait to hear all about it :)

Jess- I love flatout wraps, wasabi almonds, jello mouse things, 100 calorie yocrunch yogurts, and chocolate covered pretzel special k bars...these are my go to snacks besides the flatout wraps :)

Oh and the hair is just a darker brown...its usually always dark however I let it slip back to my natural brownish color...it was just too light for my liking

Icon-I'm coming to live with you and your boyfriend so you can cook for me lol

alright I'm headed to Baltimore to see the boy...technically I only have 45 minutes to do my hair and makeup and get dressed... I'll be late...so sue me :)

any of you ladies who regularly go to the gym when the sunrises are amazing...because I've tried it twice this week and today I almost curled up while doing abs and went back to sleep lol

zanheltangia 04-30-2010 09:23 AM

I'll never look at the ab machine in the same way, Haley. It does look like a nice place for a nap,

Remind me never to plan another athletic event with females EVER again.

Haley; Michigan is GORGEOUS. The best state there is as far as gorgeous-wise, in my own biased opinion. But yes, it does get cold in the winter. I never remembered getting too cold in the winter when I lived downstate, but now I'm at school in the UP and it tends to get down to the -45 windchill in the winter. This winter was warm though, I think we didn't surpass -20 and it was only a couple days. Spring came a whole month early!

Jazzang; I like to use Sparkpeople to keep accountable with my food intake. It also helps because I'm starting to learn what kind of nutrients and how many calories all the foods are so I don't have to enter it anymore and can just think about it in my head. It REALLY helps me.

Jess; Hm... I don't eat any of those products, but I have been wondering too. Have a bit more income now that my car is paid off, and I'd like to try changing out some of my food for organic. I'd also like to try almond milk. And ALSO! I read the last couple days of your blog and it's great! I tried subscribing to it and I think I subscribed like 4 times or something, sorry... lol. I'm horrible with computers. Anyway, I got something that it pops up in my bookmarks now. :) Your running motivates me. I want to keep running.

-------------

Oooh... I'm going to see about getting a membership to the YMCA. The Y is more expensive than our student gym on campus, BUT, I can apply for a discounted membership because I don't make much money. My coworker only has to pay $11 per month, and she is a full time worker and makes more than me as a part time, so I think I could expect less than that if I applied for it. Hm. And one of my friends from work said that she would learn how to use the gym equipment with me! :)

Well, long story short about grandma here is that she did pass away yesterday, but she was back in her home and not the hospital, and she was happy. So I don't know when the funeral will be yet but they said probably Monday or Tuesday. I work today and tomorrow so I'll drive downstate Sunday (which yay is also my birthday), and then probably back up Tuesday or Wednesday. It is very sad, but also simply relieving that she is not in pain and full of tubes. I think if my body was ready to go like that, I would be too. I'm super worried about my aunt though, because her mom was her best friend, and pretty much only friend. She already struggles with depression and is gonna have a major hard time, so I'm gonna try and keep close in touch with her. Ugh. I'll try and stop talking about dying, but it's just been so close to home with me the last couple of years. First my dad, then a couple uncles, an aunt, and now grandma. This is one of the reasons that I want to get healthy. Grandma's death was pretty unpreventable because she lived very healthy and didn't ask for the cancer, but all the other deaths were related to heart conditions caused by obesity and drinking, and smoking related cancers.

Time to get HEALTHY!

lissa9501 04-30-2010 12:41 PM

how is it the weight comes off now with minimal effort than compared to all the crap i've tried to do before. anyway after today i'm going scarce hubby's coming in this weekend so we can drive back to VA together so he can be ready for work on monday

Everlasting 04-30-2010 10:13 PM

So I wasn't hungry most of the day and picked at all my food. I think it's because it suddenly got so hot here and I've been feeling stressed.

Then tonight I binged. I just ate a lot all at once, and my belly feels icky now. However, I made myself go and record everything that I ate, and my daily calories are still in my 1300-1500 range. Ugh. It just felt like a binge, except it was on things like carrot sticks, and a bowl of oatmeal, and jello, and an apple. Haha...

pkgirl 05-01-2010 03:14 AM

Eaten just fruit and veg today. Very big accomplishment for me... Normally I am a carb-addict in the morning.

Skinnybride 05-01-2010 05:45 AM

Morning up early we have a craft festival today hoping for no tstorms this afternoon they are no fun! Hit 180.8 on the scale this morning so happy i hadnt been able to break the 181 now to have a good weekend and see 170s by monday i hope.

Samantha417 05-01-2010 11:17 AM

I just had an epic breakfast...and by epic I mean bad. Eggs, biscuits, and bacon. But I counted for all of it...I just changed my calorie allowance to maintenance today. I'm going to the park with my roommates so we can lay out and study for finals. I bought some munchies for the park too...which I will be counting for as well. I'll just go to the gym once I'm back from the park!

The scale said 142.6 this morning, but I had gone out last night and drank A LOT. And this bacon won't help either. Gotta drink lots of water today and get rid of that water weight!!

I got sunburned yesterday. I was sitting out for an hour yesterday between my classes, and the sun was facing my back. It's SO red today!! And I was driving around yesterday too, and my face and both of my arms got burned. The joys of being a redhead.

And yes, I did buy sun screen today.

Have a great day ladies! It's absolutely beautiful out!

Hi Lovies! I'm still alive... I'm feeling much better. Not 100% but I'm coughing up all of this fun crap and I can actually breathe so that's good. I feel like my lungs have returned into my chest.

I weighed in at 182 yesterday morning. WAHOOO.... but I was bad last night. I didn't eat anything all day and went out with coworkers and had 5 beers (over a period of 5 hours) cause that's what I need while I'm sick and had fish and chips (french fries).

I weighed about 180.4 this morning but figured its probably due to dehydration. I really hope I don't ruin finally getting back down this weekend since it took me a week to recover from last weekend.

I'll be headed back to the gym on Monday.

My parents are out of town so I have the house to myself.

I've melted into the couch.

I will be planning out the weeks meals tonight/tomorrow and planning accordingly.

Ready to kick these 180s goodbye and be down to 170 by the end of May (right Lauren!!?!?)

And I must say - it's nice to not have plans this weekend. I've been on the damn go too long!

stellarosa27 05-01-2010 03:34 PM

I would punch a baby for a cheeseburger right now...

I didn't make the 100K, I made 50K and was then handicapped by blisters and a thigh that seized up, despite hydration, stretching and a jogging attempt (hence the popped blisters).
We averaged about a 17 minute mile the whole way - I did the 30 miles in 9 hours (including stops). I'm working on being proud of myself and not disappointed, and I'm now going to watch bad television with my feet up while I try and find someone who will deliver me a cheeseburger...
